Senior C++ Software Developer - Helsinki



Opportunity for a talented Senior C++ Developer to join a large & reputable product development company.

Your role will be to work in a close knit team (40 employees in size) to develop new software functionalities for 2 of their main applications. One of them is a vehicle tracking system that makes use of AI technology & sensors to ensure safety protocols.

Requirements for this role:

* 5+ years of experience as a C++ Programmer
* A grasp of concepts such as TCP, UDP and socker programming
* Experience in Docker is a huge plus (they are transitioning into Microservices Architecture)
* Conan and QT experience is a plus
* Web experience such as .NET, C#, Angular etc is also a plus as it means you will be able to contribute to one of their other products too (this is not mandatory)
* Fluent in English



Responsibilities:

* Participate in development and the design of software architecture centred around microservices, deployment, containerisation, integrations to systems in the ecosystem and solutions that will scale, and adapt to business needs both on the cloud and on-prem
* Research emerging technologies, industry trends, and methodologies and make proposals of benefits and costs to decision-makers and watch as theory becomes practice
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams through Agile methodologies to design and implement solutions for complex maritime challenges
* Mentor junior developers, sharing your knowledge and ensuring that future generations of developers will practice and propagate this knowledge
