    Job description

    A not-for-profit organisation based in Newent (Gloucestershire) are looking for an experienced and ambitious Power BI professional to take the lead on Power BI reporting across the organisation, to allow for better data-driven decision-making.

    Please note that this role will require you to be in the office 3 days per week (with some flexibility to reduce this over time), so you must live within a commutable distance.

    You'll work with senior stakeholders across the organisation to provide insightful reports on their KPIs, and you will be the subject-matter-expert who they will look to for advice and guidance on these. As such, you'll be very stakeholder-facing, and will need to be someone who enjoys being both technically hands-on as well as using your softer consultative skills.

    There is a lot of potential for you to potentially build and lead a data team in the future, making this an incredibly exciting growth role!

    As such, this role would be well-suited to a Power BI enthusiast who is extremely passionate about story-telling with data, and who loves getting others excited about the benefits this can bring!

    Requirements:

    * Strong Power BI development experience including use of DAX
    * SQL skills would be highly beneficial but not essential
    * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

    Job description

    Data Analyst - Gloucestershire/Hybrid - £45,000

    I am working with a Gloucestershire based not-for-profit organisation who are looking for a Data Analyst to join their team and take ownership for KPI reporting across the business. This role sides within a close-knit and collaborative IT team where you will use your experience creating custom Power BI visualisations to deliver high quality and informative reports.

    This is the first role of its kind within the organisation and you will be given the responsibility of working closely with senior stakeholders to report on KPIs in order to make decisions that can improve business processes and performance.

    The organisation have a goal to become a truly data driven organisation and this role will play a vital part in that. The organisation anticipate further growth within the team and you will be at the forefront of this with the opportunity to eventually lead a team of analysts.



    As part of this role, you will be responsible for some of the following areas.

    * Work with senior stakeholders across the organisation to discuss KPI reporting requirements.
    * Lead and advise on best practice when it comes to visualisation and reporting of data.
    * Create impactful and effective data visualisations with Power BI



    This is a salaried role paying up to £45,000 per year depending on experience. You will be required to work 2 days in the company office in Gloucestershire with the other 3 days spent working remotely. There is also a company benefits package which includes generous holiday allowance, a contributory pensions scheme and training programmes alongside other benefits.



    To be successful in this role you will have.

    * Excellent Power BI skills with experience creating bespoke dashboards and reports.
    * Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    * Experience using SQL for data extraction and manipulation will be beneficial.
