ERP Manager - NAV/BC - Richmond, VA (Hybrid) - $160k
Position Overview
The Business Applications Manager will lead the implementation and ongoing governance of Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC) across a multi‑site, multi‑entity operation. This role will establish formal program structure, introduce project discipline, and drive complex, cross-functional technology initiatives in an environment with a rapidly expanding systems landscape.
This is a high-impact, senior-level role for a proven program leader who can operate with autonomy, create structure where none exists, and ensure successful execution of mission-critical ERP and business systems projects.
Key Responsibilities
ERP & Business Applications Leadership
* Lead the multi-site, multi-entity implementation of Dynamics 365 Business Central
* Serve as the primary owner for the Business Central roadmap, adoption, and continuous improvement.
* Coordinate cross-functional workstreams spanning operations, finance, manufacturing, supply chain, and technology.
Program Governance & Structure
* Establish a formal program and project management framework for enterprise technology initiatives.
* Define operating cadence, governance mechanisms, communication standards, and progress reporting across all stakeholders.
* Introduce prioritization, visibility, and execution discipline across the full application ecosystem.
Technology Ecosystem Oversight
* Oversee a growing portfolio of business systems, including:
* ERP deployments
* Data warehousing and data lake initiatives
* Business intelligence and analytics platforms
* Salesforce (CRM)
* Ensure alignment across interconnected systems, integrations, and data flows.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Act as the central point of coordination between technical teams, business leaders, external vendors, and implementation partners.
* Translate business requirements into system capabilities and sequencing plans.
* Identify risks, anticipate dependencies, and proactively remove roadblocks.
Operational Excellence
* Drive standardized processes, documentation, and project tracking.
* Implement tools and methods that enhance visibility into project health and resource utilization.
* Monitor system performance and lead initiatives to improve functionality, data integrity, and user adoption.
Qualifications
* 7+ years of experience in program or project management within ERP or business applications environments.
* Direct experience implementing Dynamics 365 Business Central or a similar mid-market ERP, ideally in manufacturing, food production, or supply chain-intensive organizations.
* Demonstrated success building governance frameworks from the ground up.
* Strong understanding of multi-entity, multi-location operational structures.
* Experience coordinating projects across complex, interconnected systems (CRM, data warehouse, BI, etc.).
* Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and vendor coordination abilities.
* Ability to thrive in a dynamic, rapidly evolving technology environment.
