    The Opportunity

    This role is ideal for a Data Engineer or AI Engineer who enjoys working across the full data lifecycle and wants to build practical, scalable solutions using modern data and AI technologies.



    The Role

    As a Data & AI Engineer, you will design, build and maintain data pipelines, analytical platforms and AI-enabled capabilities that support business-critical use cases. You will work closely with analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into robust, production-ready solutions.

    Key responsibilities:

    * Designing and building scalable data pipelines, datasets, and data models
    * Integrating data from multiple structured and unstructured sources
    * Developing advanced analytics, machine learning and AI solutions where appropriate
    * Building Generative AI solutions using large language models and prompt/context engineering
    * Ensuring data quality, reliability, and performance through testing and monitoring
    * Optimising data and model performance for scale and efficiency



    Required Experience & Skills

    * Proven experience in a Data Engineer, Data Developer, AI Engineer or similar role
    * Strong programming skills in Python and SQL
    * Experience building and maintaining data pipelines
    * Exposure to cloud data platforms, data warehouses, or big data technologies
    * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    * Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders



    Security & Compliance:

    * Appointment to this role is subject to eligibility for and successful attainment of UK Security Check (SC) clearance



    Working Model:

    * Hybrid working with a Manchester or Newcastle base

    Full Stack Developer - Java, Angular - Leeds (Hybrid)

    I'm currently working with a internationally renowned consultancy that are looking to grow out their Development teams. My client are trusted digital transformation partner that helps enterprise organisations reshape their businesses through the use of cutting edge technology. They have a global presence but also, they have multiple offices located nationally within the UK.

    For this role, we're looking for Full Stack Java developers who are located within a commutable distance to Leeds.
    The successful applicant will be responsible for the end to end development of software solutions for my clients customers which range across various industries. This role requires a competent Java developer with significant experience in AWS cloud services. Proficient in AngularJS, Jenkins, Karate, Gherkin and Cypress, Cloudformation, Jenkins, Groovy and deploying to native AWS services like ECS, S3, Lambda, SQS, Step Functions.

    This is a salaried position which pays up to £80k for the right candidate. You can expect a healthy work life balance as well as opportunity to progress into more senior roles whilst working along side like minded individuals who can help to elevate your career.

    Requirements: (Not all essential)

    * Experience with Java (Springboot) and AWS cloud services (ECR, ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, Step Functions, Apigee)
    * Proficiency in AngularJS, Jenkins, Karate, Node 10, Groovy, Bash, Typescript.
    * Knowledge of Gherkin, Cypress, Jest
    * Tooling: Gitlab, Jenkins, CloudFormation, Maven, Docker, Fortify on Demand, SonarQube
    * AWS DevOps Engineer certification or above.
    * Understanding of software development lifecycle.
    * Ability to apply secure coding practices.
    * Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
    * Knowledge of user-centered design principles.
    * ITIL certification will be desirable.
    * Experience of working in Agile teams
