Functional Consultant - D365 BC - Indiana (Remote) - $125k+Bonus

Our client is a top-tier Microsoft Partner that has been in operation since the early 2000s working with clients all across the USA in providing ERP and MSP solutions to manufacturing and logistics focused organizations.

Due to recent demand for Business Central implementations, they are in need of a Senior Functional Consultant with a relevant industry background.

As our client prides itself on the expertise they can provide to their customers, we need someone who can hit the ground running with no on the job training, and can be a valued resource for these ERP rollouts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and its add-on products
* Installation, training, upgrading, configuration, support, and documentation of Business Central
* Lead one or more project teams through complex implementations
* Ability to perform discovery/diagnostic phase of the project and creatively design a solution to meet the client's needs
* Ability to work closely with technical staff to define and document user requirements and functional specifications
* Ability to provide Post-implementation support (help desk)
* Provide onsite and offsite consulting services and support to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central clients
* Demonstration of product to existing and prospective clients

What We're Looking For:

* ERP consultant with proven project delivery record for Dynamics 365 Business Central (Dynamics NAV) implementations. Ideally as a consultant but internal experts can also apply.
* Proficient in configuring most of the modules in Microsoft Dynamics D365 platform (formally Dynamics NAV, Navision and also known as Business Central). Intimate knowledge of financials set up and implementation is strongly desired.
* Design and functionally architect financial management with integrated order management, inventory and procurement, and warehouse management solution
* Full life cycle implementations in Distribution & Manufacturing
* Good communication skills and ability to engage with key business users
* Proficient in "Running a Room"
* Deep knowledge of processes and aligned reporting needs
* Experience with Power BI or Microsoft Fabric is a plus, not re

Job Description

* Rapidly growing, privately held manufacturing company (~$50M revenue) with strong expansion trajectory and plans to scale operations further
* Seeking a hands-on Controller to partner closely with the CFO and take ownership of day-to-day accounting operations

Core Responsibilities:

* Lead and execute the monthly close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger activity
* Prepare and support financial reporting and maintain strong balance sheet discipline
* Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and inventory accounting
* Manage cost accounting processes, partnering with operations in a manufacturing environment
* Support audit and tax reporting activities, working alongside external partners and leadership
* Drive process improvements and build scalable accounting infrastructure as the company grows
* Assist with ERP system utilization (Microsoft D365 Business Central) and accounting workflows
* Help hire, train, and develop future accounting team members as the function expands

What They're Looking For:

* Background in manufacturing, inventory, or cost accounting strongly preferred
* Proven experience with hands-on accounting (not purely oversight or FP&A-focused)
* Experience in a small or mid-sized company environment where adaptability is key
* Strong general ledger and close process expertise
* Comfortable working in a lean, high-growth environment with evolving processes

* Controller who prefers a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves environment
