    💼 What You'll Do

    *

    Lead end-to-end Business Central implementations, primarily for manufacturing and distribution clients
    *

    Facilitate discovery workshops to understand financial processes, operational workflows, and system requirements
    *

    Configure and optimize BC Finance modules: GL, AP, AR, FA, Cash Management, Cost Accounting, and intercompany
    *

    Translate business needs into functional specifications and collaborate closely with technical teams
    *

    Support full project lifecycle: design, build, testing, deployment, training, and post-go-live support
    *

    Provide best-practice guidance on financial process improvements and system utilization
    *

    Troubleshoot financial data, integrations, and workflow-related issues within client environments

    Our customer food manufacturing customer is seeking a Senior Business Analyst, D365 Finance & Operations, to support our enterprise ERP environment and help strengthen core Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations processes. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys solving business problems, improving workflows, and driving digital transformation across a large, complex organization.

    You'll partner with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, map processes, resolve issues, and enhance the performance of D365 F&O, ensuring the system supports accurate data, efficient operations, and scalable growth.

    Key Responsibilities:

    *

    Lead requirements gathering, process mapping, and fit-gap analysis for D365 F&O enhancements and new module implementations.
    *

    Translate operational and financial business needs into detailed functional specifications and user stories.
    *

    Partner with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and IT teams to evaluate process issues and propose effective system solutions.
    *

    Support system configuration, testing (SIT/UAT), training, go-live preparation, and post-deployment stabilization.
    *

    Work closely with technical teams on integrations, data migration, reporting requirements, and workflow automation.
    *

    Maintain documentation including process flows, functional designs, test scripts, and training materials.
    *

    Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across finance, procurement, planning, inventory, production, distribution, and regulatory workflows.
    *

    Ensure system changes align with company policies, internal controls, and global compliance standards.
    *

    Act as a subject-matter expert in D365 Finance & Operations and mentor junior analysts.
    *

    Participate in cross-functional projects involving supply chain digitalization, data visibility, and operational efficiency initiatives.

    Required Qualifications:

    *

    5+ years of Business Analyst experience with Microsoft D365 Finance & Operations (or Dynamics AX with upgrade experience).
    *

    Strong functional knowledge in several of the following: General Ledger, AP/AR, Cost Accounting, Budgeting, Procurement, Inventory, Production, Supply Chain, and Distribution.
    *

    Experience supporting full lifecycle ERP implementations, upgrades, or large enhancement projects.
    *

    Proven ability to translate business requirements into functional designs and testable solutions.
    *

    Familiarity with Power BI, SQL, integrations, DMF, Azure DevOps, workflows, and system configuration.
    *

    Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface with stakeholders across finance, operations, and supply chain.
    *

    Experience in manufacturing, food & beverage, agriculture, CPG, or high-volume distribution is strongly preferred.
    *

    Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or related field.

    Preferred Skills:

    *

    Experience with regulatory reporting, global financial consolidation, or multi-currency environments.
    *

    Knowledge of planning, forecasting, and cost-to-serve analytics.
    *

    Understanding of cold-chain logistics, perishables operations, or asset-intensive supply chains (bonus).
    *

    Power Platform or BI visualization experience.

    D365 Business Central Systems Analyst - Charlotte, NC - $160k

    A rapidly growing, Private Equity-backed food manufacturing company is seeking a Business Systems Analyst with deep expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to support their ERP expansion and optimization efforts.

    Following multiple acquisitions, the company is consolidating legacy systems into Business Central and building a hands-on IT team to support operations across production, supply chain, and finance.

    Your New Role:

    * Serve as the primary functional support for D365 Business Central, ensuring system stability and alignment with food manufacturing operations.
    * Collaborate with production, inventory, quality, and finance teams to gather business requirements and translate them into system enhancements.
    * Lead ERP-related projects including upgrades, integrations, and process improvements tailored to food & beverage workflows (e.g., batch tracking, lot control, shelf-life management).
    * Support users across manufacturing sites with help desk requests, training, and documentation.
    * Manage version upgrades and coordinate testing with key stakeholders in operations and finance.
    * Ensure compliance with industry standards such as FDA, SQF, or GFSI through system configuration and reporting.
    * Administer Microsoft 365 settings and support cross-platform integrations with Business Central.

    What You'll Bring:

    * 5+ years of experience supporting or implementing D365 Business Central in a manufacturing setting.
    * Strong understanding of food production processes, inventory control, and traceability requirements.
    * Experience with batch/lot tracking, quality control, and production scheduling within ERP systems.
    * Ability to lead cross-functional projects and communicate effectively with plant managers, finance teams, and IT leadership.
    * Proficiency in creating user documentation, training materials, and conducting hands-on support.
    * Experience with ERP upgrades and post-acquisition system integrations is a plus.
