Security Engineer - Platform & Infrastructure Security
Role Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Security Engineer to join Platform Security team. In this role, you will work closely with software and infrastructure engineers to help secure large-scale, distributed systems and critical infrastructure components. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in penetration testing and security consulting in a dynamic and technically complex environment.
As a key member of a security-focused team, you'll play a vital role in identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities, advising engineering teams on secure development practices, and contributing to overall platform resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform penetration testing and vulnerability assessments on systems built in C++, Python, and Go
* Secure container environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
* Build tools for automated security testing
* Provide security guidance during development and design
* Participate in code reviews, threat modelling, and incident response
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders on risk and compliance
* Document findings and help train engineers on secure practices
Key Requirements:
* Proven experience in penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, and secure architecture for large-scale systems
* Strong programming skills in one or more of the following: C++, Python or Go
* Strong understanding of Linux, networking, and container security
* Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
* Excellent communication skills and a risk-based mindset
Preferred:
* Certifications (e.g., OSCP, CISSP)
* Experience with cloud security (AWS, GCP, Azure)
* Knowledge of security automation, incident response, or forensics
* Familiarity with frameworks like OWASP or NIST
