FO Finance-Functional Consultant

Location: Flemish Region



A well-established Belgian company in the distribution industry is looking for a Finance Consultant to join their team as they complete the roll-out of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations across Europe.



The Role

As the Finance Consultant, you'll serve as the link between finance operations and system processes during the Dynamics 365 roll-out. You'll:

* Act as the main point of contact for finance during the project
* Support roll-outs across Europe
* Collaborate closely with local and international teams
* Help redeploy and refine the system after customizations
* Maintain current bookkeeping
* Provide testing, finance process input, and post-go-live support



About You

* Strong finance background with hands-on bookkeeping experience
* Solid knowledge of Belgian accounting standards
* Experience with Dynamics 365 Finance (F&O) or a similar ERP system
* Prior involvement in ERP projects or key user roles
* Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
* Fluent in Dutch with good English skills

FO Functional Consultant - Finance

Job description

It's growth time! My client is an international powerhouse, and they're looking to expand the team. In this role, you'll help customers design future-proof finance processes, configure the D365 solution, and guide them through implementation, testing, training, and go-live.

You'll work alongside process experts, technical teams, and solution architects to tackle integrations, data migration, custom development, and release activities. Strong communication skills, change management awareness, and the ability to build trust with customers are important.

What you'll do

* Lead workshops to define future finance processes
* Run FIT/GAP sessions and create functional and technical handover documentation
* Configure D365 Finance modules
* Write and run test scenarios, support integration testing, and assist during UAT
* Prepare training materials and train end users
* Help with data migration rehearsals and go-live support
* Act as a change ambassador and contribute to quality assurance reviews
* Stay up to date on new features and share knowledge internally

What you bring

* Strong understanding of accounting and/or controlling
* Minimum three years' hands-on experience in D365 Finance implementations
* Solid knowledge of key modules such as GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Credit and Collections
* Able to take ownership and work independently or in project teams
* Fluent in English and Dutch or French
