About the Role

We are seeking a Data Engineer to support the design and delivery of modern data and AI solutions within a large, highly regulated organisation undergoing digital transformation.

This role sits within a technology and data function focused on delivering business driven, cloud enabled solutions. You will play a key role in building scalable data pipelines, developing AI enabled capabilities, and supporting the delivery of high quality analytics solutions that drive business value.

This opportunity is ideal for someone early in their career with a strong foundation in data engineering or software development, who is passionate about data and AI. You will gain exposure to modern data platforms, machine learning and emerging technologies such as generative AI.

You will work closely with analysts, engineers and business stakeholders, helping to translate requirements into robust technical solutions, while contributing to data quality, governance and performance optimisation.

Responsibilities

* Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines and datasets to support analytics and AI use cases
* Integrate data from multiple sources, ensuring consistency, quality and reliability
* Optimise data processing, storage and model performance for efficiency and scalability
* Develop and implement AI and machine learning models
* Support the development of generative AI solutions using large language models and prompt engineering
* Produce clear technical documentation covering pipelines, models and data structures
* Adhere to data governance, security and compliance standards

Skills and Experience

* Experience as a Data Engineer, Data Developer, AI Engineer or similar role
* Strong programming skills in Python and SQL
* Experience building data pipelines and working with structured and unstructured data
* Understanding of data modelling and data integration concepts
* Familiarity with machine learning or generative AI frameworks

You'll be responsible for:

* Owning the strategy, roadmap and delivery for Digital Workplace and EUC/DWS products
* Embedding AI‑driven features and automation into workplace tooling, identifying new opportunities as the domain evolves
* Leading cross‑functional squads across engineering, data, security and architecture
* Driving the development and optimisation of client device technologies, including endpoint architecture and modern management
* Overseeing capabilities such as Intune, AVD, Application Packaging, and MDM
* Working with the engineering function to deliver secure, scalable enterprise EUC/DWS solutions
* Prioritising and managing product backlogs, user stories and business requirements
* Ensuring strong governance, security and compliance using technologies like Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft Purview
* Shaping Digital Employee Experience through DEX/DEM tooling - including configuration, administration and value realisation
* Collaborating with business stakeholders globally to improve digital experience, productivity and service quality
* Leveraging data insights, analytics and user feedback to guide roadmap decisions
* Championing best practice across modern device management, Microsoft 365, Azure, DevOps and workplace engineering

Key Experience

* Proven Product Management experience, ideally within EUC or Digital Workplace Services (DWS)
* Deep understanding of client device technologies and underlying architectures
* Strong expertise with Intune, AVD, Application Packaging, MDM and modern end‑user computing
* Familiarity with Azure, Microsoft 365, PowerApps, SQL, and DevOps practices
* Significant technical experience providing fourth‑line EUC/DWS support
* Extensive background implementing, managing and supporting EUC/DWS products at scale
* Knowledge of Entra ID, identity/access management and modern security controls
* Understanding of Microsoft Purview and enterprise governance models
* Awareness of emerging AI and LLM‑driven capabilities within the Digital Workplace
* Experience with DEX/DEM platforms, including implementation, administration and turning insights into business value
* Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities

This position sits at the centre of client engagements, shaping end‑to‑end data architectures across areas such as data ingestion, integration, storage, warehousing and cloud infrastructure. You will be responsible for designing robust, secure and cost‑efficient data solutions that align with client strategies and support data‑driven decision making.

This role is ideal for someone confident working across the full data lifecycle, with strong experience in modern data architecture and the ability to translate complex client requirements into scalable, high‑quality designs.

You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across business and technical teams, presenting solutions, influencing delivery approaches and contributing to the development of best practices.

Responsibilities
