A leading provider of emergency power solutions is seeking a highly skilled Controller to join their dynamic team in Austell, Georgia. This role is ideal for a finance professional with a strong background in cost accounting, engineering services, and Microsoft Dynamics GP. The role is contract-to-hire, with the intent of bringing someone on long-term post contract period.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead all accounting operations, including general ledger, cost accounting, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll.
* Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and ensure compliance with GAAP.
* Manage and optimize the use of Microsoft Dynamics GP for financial processes and reporting.
* Develop and maintain cost accounting systems to support pricing, budgeting, and profitability analysis.
* Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to align financial strategies with project execution.
* Provide strategic financial insights to senior leadership to support decision-making and long-term planning.
* Lead and mentor a small finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA a plus but not required.
* Prior experience in a Controller or senior accounting role, preferably in engineering or technical services.
* Proven expertise in cost accounting and financial analysis.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics GP is required.
* Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
* Experience in a project-based or service-driven environment is a plus.
