ERP Admin - Business Central - $125k - Remote

Location: Hybrid and/or Remote

A rapidly growing organization in the sustainability and operations sector is seeking an experienced ERP Admin to lead its Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central environment and related business applications. This role will oversee systems strategy, project execution, enhancements, data integrity, and cross‑functional collaboration across finance, logistics, procurement, and operational teams.

The position includes direct management of one ERP Developer, along with responsibility for project management, resource planning, and building an expanded ERP team as the business continues to scale.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development

* Manage and mentor an ERP Developer, setting performance expectations and supporting professional growth.
* Build out an internal ERP/application team as organizational needs evolve.
* Establish best practices for workflows, documentation, and development standards.

ERP & Application Ownership

* Serve as the primary owner of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central across finance, procurement, payables, and related operational modules.
* Oversee configuration, enhancements, integrations, and data governance for core business systems.
* Manage escalated support issues and coordinate with external vendors when necessary.
* Ensure reliable, timely support for 2nd‑ and 3rd‑level help desk requests.

Project & Program Management

* Lead end‑to‑end ERP projects, including requirements gathering, design, testing, deployment, and user training.
* Develop project plans, manage timelines, allocate resources, and communicate progress to leadership and stakeholders.
* Oversee change management, system upgrades, and cross-functional rollout initiatives.

Business Partnership & Continuous Improvement

* Partner with Finance, Operations, Logistics, Procurement, and other teams to identify needs and translate business processes into scalable ERP solutions.
* Analyze gaps between system capabilities and business requirements, recommending enhancements or customizations.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, automation, and cost reduction.
* Maintain compliance with internal governance, risk management, and operational standards.

Technology Strategy & Innovation

* Evaluate opportunities for automation, workflow optimization, system integrations, and improved reporting.
* Develop a multi‑year roadmap for ERP improvements and system expansion.
* Support broader IT initiatives that intersect with ERP tools and data ecosystem.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; 10+ years of relevant experience.
* Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or NAV).
* Strong functional knowledge of finance, procurement, requisitioning, and AP processes within Business Central.
* Proven experience leading ERP or enterprise technology projects.
* Prior team leadership or mentoring experience strongly preferred.
* Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
* Highly organized, self-directed, and effective in fast-paced environments.
* Must be authorized to work in the United States.
