3rd Line Support Engineer - ERP & Accounting Systems

Language: Norwegian (professional working proficiency)

Are you a senior technical support professional who enjoys solving the toughest problems? Our client is looking for a highly skilled 3rd Line Support Engineer to join their team in Oslo. You will be working with complex ERP and accounting systems, acting as the escalation point for issues passed from 1st and 2nd line support.

This is not a developer role - but you must be able to read and understand code (e.g., C#, SQL) to troubleshoot issues effectively.

About the Role

In this position, you will take ownership of advanced technical incidents, perform deep-dive investigations, and collaborate closely with developers, product teams, and end users. You'll play a crucial role in maintaining system stability, analysing logs, and identifying root causes across the company's ERP/accounting platforms.

Responsibilities

* Handle advanced technical escalations from 1st and 2nd line support
* Troubleshoot ERP and accounting systems, integrations, and custom modules
* Read and interpret code (C#, SQL, etc.) to identify errors and logic issues
* Work closely with development teams to resolve complex defects
* Perform detailed log analysis and root-cause investigations
* Improve documentation, support processes, and internal knowledge base
* Ensure high-quality communication with customers and internal teams

Required Skills & Experience

* Experience in 3rd line support or senior 2nd line technical support
* Strong knowledge of ERP, finance, or accounting systems
* Ability to read and understand code (not required to write production-level code)
* Experience with databases, APIs, and system integrations
* Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
* Excellent communication skills
* Fluency in Norwegian (written and spoken)

Nice to Have

* Experience with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), particularly in:

* Enhancing support workflows
* Intelligent document retrieval
* AI-assisted troubleshooting

* Familiarity with modern AI tools used in technical support environments
