Senior Backend / Platform Engineer

Location: Fornebu, Oslo
Contract: Permanent | Start: ASAP

We are partnering with an established organisation in the property sector that is strengthening its in-house tech team. They are hiring a Senior Backend / System / Platform Engineer to take ownership of a core internal platform and reduce reliance on external consultants.

The Role

You will be responsible for a business-critical backend system used daily by brokers and customers. The role combines system ownership, development, and infrastructure in a small, highly influential team.

Key responsibilities:

Own and maintain a core backend platform

Improve stability, performance, and security
*

Develop and modernise existing systems
*

Work across backend, databases, and DevOps
*

Collaborate closely with UX and management

Requirements

*

5-7+ years backend experience
*

Strong Node.js & TypeScript
*

Event-driven systems (RabbitMQ)
*

PostgreSQL
*

OpenSearch / Elasticsearch
*

Experience with production systems
*

Good Norwegian skills

Nice to have: Go, Python, React, DevOps, AI interest
