About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Controller with strong experience in government contracting, particularly in DoD or Veterans Affairs projects. This is a high-impact, management-level position responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and leading a team.

This role is onsite five days a week, with the possibility of one hybrid day weekly.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead and manage the accounting team
* Oversee month-end close and financial reporting
* Maintain compliance with government contracting standards (DoD/VA)
* Drive process improvements and financial controls
* Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic financial planning
* Expereince with ERP accounting systems like, D365 BC

Required Qualifications

* CPA certification strongly preferred; exceptional experience may be considered in lieu
* Proven experience as a Controller or Assistant Controller
* Extensive background in government contracting (DoD preferred; VA acceptable)
* Strong knowledge of month-end close processes and financial reporting
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
