AWS Data Platform Architect - London (Hybrid) - Up to £110,000 + Benefits

A growing technology consultancy is seeking an experienced AWS Data Platform Architect to join its expanding Data & AI team.

This role offers the opportunity to lead the design and implementation of enterprise-scale cloud data platforms, supporting organisations through complex digital transformation programmes. You'll work with modern AWS technologies, advanced analytics platforms, and emerging AI solutions to deliver impactful business outcomes for large-scale clients.

Key Responsibilities

* Design and architect scalable AWS-based data platforms
* Develop modern data lake, warehousing, and analytics solutions
* Define technical architecture, standards, and cloud strategy
* Support the adoption of AI, Machine Learning, and Generative AI technologies
* Deliver solutions across both real-time and batch data environments
* Ensure data governance, security, and compliance requirements are met
* Provide technical leadership across project teams
* Engage with senior stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions

Required Skills & Experience

* Previous experience as a Data Platform Architect, Data Architect, Cloud Architect, or similar
* Strong expertise designing cloud-native data solutions on AWS
* Experience with Databricks, Redshift, Snowflake, or related technologies
* Understanding of modern data engineering and analytics frameworks
* Exposure to AI and Machine Learning technologies
* Strong knowledge of data governance and security best practices
* Experience delivering large-scale cloud transformation projects
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
* Knowledge of SQL and Python would be advantageous
* Experience working within highly regulated environments is desirable
