Fabric Developer

Finland, Helsinki/Espoo

  • Consultant Poste
  • Compétences: Tech Stack: Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Factory, Power BI, DAX, Power Query, Python, PySpark, SQL, Azure, Databricks Skills: Data Modelling, ETL/ELT, Medallion Architecture, CI/CD, Data Governance, GDPR Certifications: DP-700, DP-600
  • Seniority: Senior

Description du poste

The Role

We're looking for a Microsoft Fabric Developer / Consultant to design, build, and take modern data and analytics solutions into production for our clients. You'll work across the full data lifecycle from OneLake and the lakehouse through to Power BI and the insights business users actually act on, and you'll do it in a client-facing, advisory capacity. This is a hands-on delivery role with a consultant's mindset: you translate business needs into maintainable technical solutions and can explain your choices to a non-technical audience.

Microsoft Fabric projects are growing quickly, and we're strenghtening the team that delivers them. You'll join a group of data engineers, BI developers, and architects working closely with clients across the Nordic mid-market and enterprise. Depending on the engagement, you might be the sole technical lead embedded with a customer or one of several specialists on a larger platform build. We support certification, invest in continuous learning (the toolset moves fast), and expect everyone to grow their advisory skills alongside their technical depth.

In practice, you will:

*

Design and implement end-to-end data solutions on Microsoft Fabric - ingestion, transformation, storage, modelling, and reporting.
*

Build and orchestrate data pipelines using Fabric Data Factory / Data Pipelines and notebooks, moving data reliably from source systems into OneLake.
*

Develop lakehouse and warehouse layers following a medallion (bronze/silver/gold) or comparable layered architecture, with attention to partitioning, performance, and cost.
*

Model data for analytics and build performant Power BI semantic models, reusable DAX measures, and reports that serve as a trusted single source of truth.
*

Implement engineering discipline around your work: version control, CI/CD, automated testing, and monitoring so solutions are maintainable and observable in production.
*

Apply data governance, security, and privacy controls (access, classification, lineage) in line with client policy and GDPR.
*

Act as a trusted advisor to clients - gather and challenge requirements, run workshops, present solutions clearly to both technical and business stakeholders, and help customers make well-reasoned technology choices.
*

Contribute to our internal practice: best-practice patterns, reusable accelerators (Terraform for example), DevOps and governance models, and mentoring of colleagues.

Requirements

*

Several years of hands-on experience in data engineering, BI, or analytics delivery, ideally in a consulting or client-project setting.
*

Practical, demonstrable experience with Microsoft Fabric and its core workloads: OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory / Data Pipelines, and Synapse Data Engineering.
*

Architectural understanding of Microsoft Fabric implementation and design.
*

Strong Power BI skills: semantic (tabular) modelling, advanced DAX, Power Query (M), and report/dashboard design, including workspace and deployment management.
*

Solid Python/PySpark & SQL experience
*

Sound understanding of data modelling (dimensional/star schema, medallion, and ideally Data Vault) and modern ELT/ETL approaches.
*

Familiarity with source-control-based development and CI/CD for data workloads (Azure DevOps or GitHub, Fabric deployment pipelines / Git integration).
*

An understanding of data governance, security, and privacy as first-class concerns, not afterthoughts.
*

The ability to work independently, take ownership of a deliverable, and drive it to a measurable, production-ready result.
*

Fluent Finnish and working proficiency in English are a must. Client-facing work is often in Finnish.

We value how you work with clients as much as what you can build.

In addition to technical skills and filling the language requirement, you need to have a consultative approach. You listen, connect technology to business needs, and are comfortable making clear, defensible recommendations.

As a consultant, you have

*

Confidence presenting to and facilitating discussions with non-technical stakeholders.
*

Business understanding: you care about the value a solution delivers, not just its technical elegance.
*

Curiosity and a genuine appetite for continuous learning as the Fabric platform evolves.
*

Collaborative instincts - sharing knowledge, sparring with colleagues, and raising the team's overall capability.

Nice to have (bonus, not required)

*

Broader Azure data ecosystem experience: Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Azure SQL, and especially Azure Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow).
*

dbt and a modern, modular ELT mindset.
*

Real-Time Intelligence / Eventhouse (KQL), Data Activator, or streaming/event-driven data experience.
*

Microsoft Purview and hands-on data governance (classification, lineage, sensitivity labels).
*

Experience integrating Fabric with the Power Platform, Dynamics 365 Business Central, or enterprise source systems such as SAP (BW / Datasphere).
*

Practical use of Copilot and AI-assisted capabilities in data and analytics development - and interest in the emerging Fabric agentic stack (data agents, Fabric IQ).
*

PowerShell for environment automation; paginated reports for operational/pixel-perfect reporting.

BI Architect

Sweden, Stockholm

  • Up to £0.00 per annum
  • Consultant Poste
  • Compétences: MS Fabric, BI Architect, Cloud Agnostic, CI/CD
  • Seniority: Senior

Description du poste

About the Role

On behalf of our client, [Client Company Name], we're hiring a Senior BI Architect to design, govern, and scale their business intelligence ecosystem. You'll own the technical vision for how data is modeled, warehoused, and delivered to the business - turning raw data into trusted, decision-ready insight. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives at the intersection of data architecture, analytics engineering, and stakeholder strategy.

What You'll Do

* Design and own the enterprise BI architecture, including data warehouse/lakehouse structures, semantic layers, and reporting frameworks
* Define and enforce data modeling standards (dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schemas, medallion architecture) to ensure consistency and performance across BI assets
* Lead the selection, implementation, and governance of BI tools and platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker) and their integration with the broader data stack
* Architect and lead migrations to Microsoft Fabric, including OneLake, lakehouses/warehouses, Data Factory pipelines, and Power BI semantic models
* Design solutions that remain cloud-agnostic where appropriate, ensuring architecture isn't unnecessarily locked to a single vendor and can integrate across AWS, Azure, and GCP data sources
* Partner with data engineering to design scalable, reliable data pipelines that feed BI systems
* Establish data governance practices - access controls, data quality standards, metadata management, and documentation
* Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions, working closely with analysts, product, and executive stakeholders
* Mentor BI developers and analysts on architecture best practices, performance tuning, and self-service enablement
* Evaluate emerging BI/analytics technologies and make recommendations to keep the architecture future-proof
* Own performance optimization for large-scale dashboards, semantic models, and queries
* Drive self-service analytics adoption through well-governed, reusable data models

What You'll Bring

* 7+ years of experience in business intelligence, data architecture, or analytics engineering, including prior BI development experience
* Proven track record architecting enterprise-scale BI solutions from the ground up
* Hands-on experience leading multiple end-to-end migration projects onto Microsoft Fabric (OneLake, Lakehouse/Warehouse, Data Factory, Power BI semantic models), including planning cutover strategy and minimizing disruption to existing reporting
* Deep expertise in dimensional modeling and modern data warehouse/lakehouse design
* Cloud-agnostic mindset - comfortable architecting solutions that span or move between AWS, Azure, and GCP rather than being tied to a single ecosystem
* Advanced proficiency with Power BI (DAX, semantic modeling) and working knowledge of other major BI platforms (Tableau, Looker)
* Strong SQL skills and familiarity with ELT/ETL tooling (e.g., dbt, Data Factory, Fivetran, Airflow)
* Experience with data governance, security, and role-based access frameworks
* Excellent communication skills - able to translate between technical architecture and business needs
* Experience mentoring or leading technical teams

Nice to Have

* Experience migrating off legacy platforms (e.g., Synapse, SSAS, Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery) onto Fabric
* Experience with Python or scripting for data automation
* Familiarity with CI/CD for analytics (version-controlled BI development, Fabric deployment pipelines)
* Background in a specific industry vertical (finance, retail, healthcare, SaaS, etc.)
* Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer, Power BI, Snowflake SnowPro, AWS/GCP data certifications)

Insurance Technical Specialist (Broking / Actuarial) - GBP650/pd

England, London, City of London

  • £600 to £650 GBP
  • Consultant Poste
  • Compétences: Azure, Business Intelligence, insurance, actuary, broker, broking, underwriter, underwriting, vibe, claude, data, ai, data science, business intelligence, cloud it
  • Seniority: Senior

Description du poste

Insurance Technical Specialist (Broking/Actuarial) - Contract - £650/pd

Please note - this role will require you to attend the Central London office 2-3 days per week. You must have the unrestricted right to work in the UK to be eligible for this role. This organisation is not able to offer sponsorship.

I am working with my London Market broker client, an innovative brokerage pushing beyond traditional operating models by combining deep market expertise with emerging AI and modern engineering practices.

They are seeking an Insurance Technical Specialist for a broker-side change initiative, aimed at shaping and delivering new capabilities for the London Market. This role is deliberately hybrid: it suits someone with extensive insurance broking experience or an actuarial background, who can also "vibe code" - rapidly prototyping, configuring, and iterating solutions using modern low‑friction development approaches and AI-assisted tooling.

The Opportunity

This is a hands-on contract role sitting between business, data, and technology. You will apply your deep understanding of insurance and market mechanics while actively contributing to solution design and build. The work supports a broader strategy to leverage AI-driven insight, automation, and decision support, enabling the broker to bring something genuinely new to the London Market.

Key Responsibilities

* Act as a technical insurance SME across broking and/or actuarial domains
* Translate complex insurance concepts into functional and technical artefacts
* Rapidly prototype and iterate solutions using vibe coding / AI-assisted development techniques
* Support data-driven and AI-enabled use cases across broking, placement, pricing, or analytics
* Work closely with data architects, engineers, and delivery teams to ensure solutions reflect real market behaviour
* Validate outputs against London Market practices, regulatory expectations, and broker operating models
* Contribute to defining how insurance logic is embedded into systems, models, and workflows

Required Experience

* Extensive experience in insurance broking or a strong actuarial background
* Deep knowledge of London Market structures, processes, and products
* Proven ability to operate as a hands-on technical specialist, not just advisory
* Experience using modern coding, scripting, or prototyping approaches
* Comfortable experimenting, iterating, and building alongside delivery teams
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills across business and technology audiences

Highly Desirable

* Experience applying AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics in an insurance context
* Exposure to modern data platforms, APIs, or cloud-based environments
* Experience working in transformation or innovation-led broker initiatives

This is a 6 month engagement which offers £650/pd Outside IR35.
