GP Consultant

This role is a fully remote, part-time (5-10 hours/month) contract.

Responsibilities

* Provide ongoing support for Microsoft Dynamics GP.
* Troubleshoot and resolve GP-related issues across finance and accounting functions.
* Support users with posting, batch processing, and transaction-related errors.
* Diagnose issues involving customizations and third-party integrations.
* Analyze and troubleshoot SQL Server databases supporting GP.
* Create, review, and execute SQL scripts when necessary.
* Document solutions and recurring issues.
* Communicate directly with IT and business stakeholders.
* Provide recommendations to improve overall system stability and support processes.

Required Qualifications

* 5+ years of Microsoft Dynamics GP experience.
* Strong experience supporting on-premises GP environments.
* Advanced SQL Server troubleshooting skills.
* Experience supporting customized GP environments.
* Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Experience providing ad hoc production support.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience supporting ERP integrations.
* Background in manufacturing, distribution, or similar industries.
* Knowledge of Dynamics 365 Business Central migration paths.
* Familiarity with GP database architecture and reporting tools.
* Consulting or managed-services experience.
