AWS Data Architect - London/Remote - £500/pd

Please note - this role will require you to be UK based with the unrestricted right to work in the UK. You must be willing to work on-site in London as required.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to design, develop, and govern our enterprise data landscape. This is a critical role in shaping our data strategy, ensuring data quality, accessibility, and security across multiple platforms and systems. Key Responsibilities

* Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient data architectures.
* Define and enforce data governance standards, including data quality and metadata management.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to align data solutions with business objectives.
* Oversee data integration, ETL/ELT processes, and pipeline orchestration.
* Optimize data storage solutions across relational, NoSQL, and data lake environments.
* Leverage AWS data platforms and services to deliver enterprise-grade solutions.
* Stay ahead of emerging technologies and best practices in big data and distributed computing.

Required Skills & Experience

* Proven experience as a Data Architect or in a senior data-focused role.
* Expertise in data modelling techniques and tools.
* Strong knowledge of data storage solutions (relational, NoSQL, data lakes).
* Hands-on experience with data integration patterns and ETL/ELT processes.
* Proficiency in AWS data platforms and services.
* Solid understanding of data governance principles (data quality, metadata, access control).
* Familiarity with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop) and distributed computing.
* Advanced SQL skills and proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java).

Additional Requirements

* Immediate availability for an October start.
* Must be UK-based with unrestricted right to work in the UK.
* Comfortable with occasional travel to London for on-site meetings.

Data Architect - Contract

We are seeking a skilled Data Architect to lead the design, development, and oversight of our enterprise-wide data infrastructure. This role plays a key part in defining our data strategy and ensuring high standards of data quality, accessibility, and security across multiple systems and platforms. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong expertise in modern data architectures and data governance practices.

Required Skills and Experience:

* Proven experience as a Data Architect or in a similar senior data-focused role.
* Extensive experience with various data modelling techniques and tools.
* Deep understanding of different data storage solutions (e.g., relational, NoSQL, data lakes) and their appropriate use cases.
* Strong knowledge of data integration patterns, ETL/ELT processes, and data pipeline orchestration.
* Experience with AWS data platforms and their respective data services.
* Solid understanding of data governance principles, including data quality, metadata management, and access control.
* Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) and distributed computing.

Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java)

Senior Data Engineer - Oxfordshire - £75,000

Please note - this role will require you to attend the Oxfordshire based office at least one day per week. To be eligible for this role you must have the unrestricted right to work in the UK - this client is not able to offer sponsorship.

About the Role

A highly skilled Senior Data Engineer is required to join a growing team. This is a hands-on role where the successful candidate will lead by example, manage junior team members, and set best practice standards for data engineering across the organisation.

The position involves playing a key role in an exciting project to migrate an existing Azure data platform into Databricks, while also handling day-to-day data engineering responsibilities. Longer term, the role will focus on shaping the approach to data science and AI technologies, ensuring the organization remains ahead of the curve.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead and mentor junior data engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
* Define and implement best practices for data engineering processes and standards.
* Drive the migration of the Azure data platform into Databricks.
* Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and solutions.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data solutions meet business needs.

Skills & Experience

* Proven experience as a hands-on Data Engineer in a senior capacity.

* Excellent leadership and communication skills.
