The Role

I am looking for a Lead Data Engineer to take a central role in the design, development, and leadership of our cloud-based data platform.

This position combines hands-on technical delivery with people leadership, project ownership, and a clear pathway toward a formal management role.

You will act as a technical authority within the team while also helping to shape how the data engineering function grows over time.



Key Responsibilities

Hands-on Data Engineering

Lead the design, build, and evolution of scalable data pipelines and platforms using Azure data services

Work extensively with Azure Databricks for data processing and analytics

Drive architectural decisions, data modelling standards, and engineering best practices

Ensure high standards for data quality, reliability, performance, and security



Technical & People Leadership

Take ownership of data engineering projects end to end

The Opportunity

Following significant organisational growth, the business is now scaling its investment platform and expanding the range of assets it manages.
