About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Warehouse Engineer with strong expertise in Kimball dimensional modelling to support secure, large‑scale data programmes. You will design and enhance modern data warehouse environments across cloud platforms such as Azure, Fabric, AWS and Snowflake, working within a high‑security setting that requires an active SC clearance.

Key Responsibilities

* Design and deliver Kimball‑based dimensional data models
* Build and optimise robust ETL/ELT pipelines
* Develop data warehouse solutions across platforms including Azure, Microsoft Fabric, AWS, Snowflake, and related technologies
* Improve data architecture performance, governance and scalability

Description:

I've partnered an award winning consulting organisation, looking for an experienced Embedded Linux Software Engineer, based in or around North West London.

What to expect

* Work within our highly technically diverse multidisciplinary teams (application software, embedded, computer vision, cloud platform, etc.)
* Support the development and productization of our custom computing devices, medical devices, and other devices for the hospital operating rooms.
* Drive collaboration with our hardware team to build and maintain compatible kernels/drivers for our hardware platforms.
* Architect, develop, test, and debug system services and hardware-dependent software applications.
* Coordinate and conduct code reviews for embedded software.
* Contribute to the software infrastructure to ensure seamless software deployments.
* Participate in the relevant security and regulatory compliance processes.
* Develop robust and secure-by-design software fit for a medical-grade system.
* Perform formal risk analysis activities, develop software mitigations, run verification. tests and participate in design transfer to manufacturing activities.

Must Haves

* BS/MS in Computer, Electrical, Electronics Engineering or equivalent
* Extensive experience working with Linux device drivers (V4L2/I2C/SPI/UART etc), tinkering with the Linux kernel and device trees.
* Extensive experience with varied Linux system components such as kernels, services, log management, rules, etc.
* Excellent networking knowledge
* Expert C/C++ and shell scripting knowledge.
* Experience working with custom Linux build systems (Yocto/Buildroot etc)
* Experience in system bring-up and hardware integration.
* Experience with over-the-air update mechanisms for embeddedsystems.
* Strong knowledge of security concepts (e.g. hardware root of trust, cryptographic key generation and usage)
* Fundamental knowledge of Linux diagnostic/benchmarking tools
* Basic Electronics knowledge - comfortable following a schematic and technical documentation/datasheet.
* Experience with software systems engineering and design principles.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Flexible - you can independently solve problems as they arise but are comfortable asking for help when you need it.
* Comfortable with complexity - being able to think through consequences of changes in a highly interconnected ecosystem over varied use environments.

* Experience working with deployed hardware systems and remote device management.

Responsibilities and Skills

* Delivery Leadership:Own the end-to-end delivery of the platform road-map, managing dependencies across multiple product squads, managing risks, and providing transparent reporting to stakeholders.
* Agile Facilitation: Lead Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Retrospectives, Product Backlog Refinement) for a large team, ensuring continuous flow and adherence to Scrum/Kanban principles.
* Impediment Removal:Proactively identify and remove technical, process, or organisational blockers to maintain team momentum and protect sprint commitments.
* DevOps Culture & Process: Guide the team in adopting DevOps practices, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD, and monitoring, ensuring quality and security standards are met.
* Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, and Engineering leadership to define technical vision, prioritise backlogs, and align on deliverables.
* Metrics-Driven Improvement: Track and analyse key DevOps and team metrics (e.g., Velocity, Cycle Time, Change Failure Rate, Deployment Frequency) to drive continuous improvement.
* Mentorship:Coach the team on agile mindset, foster self-organisations, and promote a culture of accountability.



Required Qualifications

* Experience:5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or Technical Project Manager, preferably in a DevOps, Cloud, or Infrastructure environment.
* Technical Understanding: Solid understanding of AWS services (E.g. EC2, S3, IAM, EKS, RDS), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation), and CI/CD tools (E.g. Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
* Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, particularly in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
* Tools: Proficient in Jira or similar Agile project management tools.
* Communication: Exceptional communication skills to bridge the gap between technical teams and senior stakeholders.



Desirable Skills

* AWS Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer).
* Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), or PMP certification.
