Senior Cloud Engineer

Contract | 12 Months | Full-Time Allocation

About the Role

An established technology delivery partner is seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to support a large-scale cloud migration and application modernisation programme.

This role sits within a high-performing engineering delivery team focused on transforming enterprise platforms into scalable, secure, and cloud-native environments. The successful candidate will work across engineering, DevOps, and platform teams to enable modern deployment practices and improve operational resilience across critical business systems.

Key Responsibilities

Support the cloud migration and modernisation of enterprise applications

Design and implement cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code principles

Build and maintain scalable environments across compute, networking, and related cloud services

Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to deliver secure, observable, and manageable cloud workloads

Contribute to CI/CD pipeline development, automation initiatives, and infrastructure patching strategies

Produce and maintain deployment and operational documentation aligned to governance and compliance standards

Participate in change management and release processes

Monitor platform performance and reliability using modern observability and monitoring tooling

Support incident response and continuous service improvement initiatives

Required Experience

Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer or Senior Cloud Engineer within enterprise environments

Strong hands-on experience delivering cloud migration or modernisation programmes

Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform or similar tooling)

Experience working within DevOps-driven delivery environments

Strong understanding of cloud platform services across compute, networking, and infrastructure layers

Experience building or supporting automated deployment pipelines

Exposure to monitoring and performance management tooling

Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional engineering teams

Desirable Skills

Experience operating within regulated or large-scale enterprise environments

Exposure to containerisation and modern platform engineering practices

Strong documentation and stakeholder communication skills

You will join a collaborative delivery team working on business-critical transformation initiatives, contributing to the adoption of modern cloud engineering practices within a complex enterprise landscape.

We are seeking a Business Analyst with a strong background in data and experience with Azure technologies to drive effective decision-making and improve processes. Hybrid, 2 days in office in Joburg.

You will play a crucial part in transforming data insights into actionable strategies, helping the organisation leverage its data for better outcomes. The environment is focused on collaboration and practical results, as you work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure sound data management.

* Proven experience in data analysis and reporting using Azure tools
* Strong understanding of data modelling techniques and ETL processes
* Ability to translate complex business requirements into clear specifications
* Experience collaborating with technical teams to deliver data-driven solutions
* Familiarity with agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams

- Consulting background highly regarded

- Fabric experience hugely beneficial

- Must have RTW in SA without sponsorship

Minimum Requirements
1st Line:

1-3 years' experience supporting D365 CE or CRM systems

Strong understanding of CE modules (Sales / Customer Service)

Experience working in a ticket-based support environment

Good understanding of SLAs and service management



2nd Line:

3-5+ years' experience in D365 CE support

Strong troubleshooting and configuration experience

Exposure to customisations, workflows, and integrations

Understanding of the Power Platform ecosystem

Ability to analyse logs and investigate technical issues



Key Responsibilities

1st Line Support (Operational Support Focus)

Provide first-line support for D365 CE incidents and service requests
*

Log, categorise, and prioritise tickets in line with SLAs
*

Troubleshoot functional issues related to Sales, Customer Service, and custom modules
*

Resolve basic configuration and access-related issues
*

Perform user administration (security roles, permissions, profiles)
*

Escalate complex technical issues to 2nd/3rd line support
*

Support end users with queries, system navigation, and process guidance
*

Assist with basic data corrections and updates
*

Maintain support documentation and knowledge base articles

2nd Line Support (Functional & Technical Focus)

*

Investigate and resolve escalated D365 CE incidents
*

Perform root cause analysis on recurring issues
*

Support integrations between D365 CE and other enterprise systems
*

Troubleshoot workflows, plugins, business rules, and Power Platform components
*

Assist with minor enhancements and configuration changes
*

Support release management and testing of system updates
*

Work closely with business stakeholders to clarify requirements
*

Monitor system performance and proactively identify improvement areas
*

Provide input into system optimisation and best practices

Azure Data Architect: Full Stack Microsoft.



We are currently recruiting for a well-known MS Partner, who are looking for a technical Data architect looking for a new challenge. The Senior Architect will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and managing innovative business intelligence (BI) solutions with a strong emphasis on leveraging Microsoft Fabric. This role requires a deep understanding of data warehousing, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, data modelling, and the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem. The ideal candidate will translate business needs into technical specifications, create effective BI solutions, and drive the utilisation of information management systems.



The ideal candidate will have:

A Bachelor's degree in CompSci, IT or a relevant field.

Proven architecture experience on live projects.

Strong data warehousing skills.

Proficiency in BI tools - Power BI and the components of Microsoft Fabric.

Experience with SQL and database management.
