    Senior BI Developer

    Up to £75,000

    About the Role

    I am seeking an experienced Senior BI Developer to support the design, development and optimisation of modern cloud-based data platform within a global manufacturing organisation specialising in the production of high-quality equipment.

    Sitting within a global data and analytics function, this role is central to managing the data platform and delivering high-quality reporting capabilities that support operational, financial and strategic decision-making across multiple international regions.

    This role is ideal for someone with strong hands-on experience across modern data engineering practices cloud data platforms especially Microsoft Fabric. Alongside the core data engineering work, you will also contribute to the development of Power BI reporting and semantic models used across global business teams.

    You will also play a senior role within the BI and data team, helping guide development standards, mentoring developers and ensuring that data solutions are scalable, reliable and aligned with enterprise data governance practices.

    Responsibilities

    * Design, build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines within Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse environments
    * Develop and optimise data ingestion/transformation workflows
    * Develop Python and PySpark processes for data transformation and large-scale processing
    * Support the development and optimisation of Power BI datasets, reports and dashboards
    * Build and maintain scalable semantic data models including dimensional and star schema structures
    * Ensure strong data quality, governance and testing standards across all BI and data engineering solutions

    Skills and Experience

    * Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Fabric, Lakehouse architecture and Data Pipelines
    * Experience developing Python or PySpark solutions for large-scale data processing
    * Understanding of ETL/ELT design patterns, data modelling and modern data platform architecture
    * Experience developing Power BI datasets, semantic models and reports
    * Experience working with Infor M3 ERP systems

    We are supporting a major retail banking client undergoing a large-scale data transformation programme, centred around modernising their data platform using Snowflake, Kafka, and Azure.

    They are seeking a highly experienced Enterprise Data Architect who can operate at both a strategic and hands-on level, taking ownership of solution design across complex data ecosystems.

    The Role

    You will play a key role in designing and shaping data architecture across a major migration initiative, ensuring solutions are scalable, efficient, and aligned to enterprise standards.

    This is not just a pure data architect role - they are looking for someone with a broad enterprise architecture mindset, who understands how data platforms integrate within wider infrastructure and systems.

    You'll be expected to operate with a high level of autonomy, working closely with architecture forums, engineering teams, and business stakeholders.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Own and produce end-to-end solution architecture designs across data platforms
    * Lead design discussions and present at governance forums (TSC, TDA, Retail DAG)
    * Work closely with engineers, testers, and SMEs to validate and document system impacts
    * Collaborate with Business Analysts to ensure requirements are fully reflected in solution design
    * Engage with domain leads (Motor & Premium) to ensure alignment and buy-in
    * Challenge business requirements where necessary to avoid technical debt or over-engineering
    * Provide architectural oversight across data migration (Snowflake/Kafka) and Azure infrastructure

    Required Experience

    * Strong background in data architecture, warehousing, and integration
    * Proven experience with:

    * Snowflake
    * SQL
    * Databricks
    * ETL / ELT pipelines
    * Kafka (event-driven data movement)

    * Experience working across Azure cloud environments
    * Ability to operate at enterprise architecture level, with appreciation for infrastructure and platform design
    * Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence senior audiences
    * Experience in banking / financial services (essential)
    * Ideally exposure to onboarding and loan servicing domains

    Key Traits

    * Self-sufficient, able to deliver high-quality work with minimal oversight
    * Strong communicator, comfortable presenting to senior governance forums
    * Pragmatic thinker - balances technical excellence with delivery reality
    * Confident challenging stakeholders when needed

    Additional Details

    * Contract Length: 6 months
    * Rate: £700 per day (Inside IR35)
    * Location: Predominantly remote, with occasional travel to Cambridge (must be within commutable distance)

    Nigel Frank International are partnered with an established Dynamics 365 CRM end user who are looking to add a Senior Dynamics Developer to their team to lead design, build and optimisation of their key business systems.
    They are looking for a proactive individual who can thrive in a collaborative environment and provide technical expertise and leadership to help the business drive their projects forwards.

    Responsibilities

    * Deliver high‑quality customisation's across model‑driven apps, including forms, views, command bars, ribbons, and Business Process Flows
    * Build responsive, accessible Canvas apps using Power Fx with strong UX and usability principles.
    * Develop reusable PCF components using TypeScript/React, including dataset and field controls with appropriate testing.
    * Engineer server‑side extensions such as plugins, custom workflow activities, and custom actions in C#
    * Shape and query Dataverse data using FetchXML, OData, Web API, and QueryExpression with security‑aware filtering.
    * Integrate Dynamics/Dataverse with internal and external systems using REST/Graph APIs and Azure services (Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus).
    * Manage ALM processes including solution strategy, CI/CD pipelines, versioning, and environment governance in Azure DevOps.
    * Implement client‑side logic using JavaScript/TypeScript for validation, automation, and UI enhancements.
    * Define and maintain robust data models including tables, relationships, keys, business rules, and data quality standards.
    * Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise performance across plugins, PCF controls, queries, and Canvas apps.

    Experience

    * Deep hands‑on experience delivering production solutions across Dynamics 365, Dataverse, and the wider Power Platform.
    * Strong engineering capability in C# (plugins, workflow activities), TypeScript/React (PCF), and Power FX for Canvas apps.
    * Proven expertise customising model‑driven apps, including UI enhancements, client‑side scripting, and Business Process Flows.
    * Solid background integrating systems using Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, and REST/Graph APIs.
    * Strong ALM knowledge with Azure DevOps, including CI/CD pipelines, solution management, versioning, and environment governance.
