    Senior Data Engineer
    Up to £90,000

    We are partnering with a market-leading organisation operating within the technology training, digital skills and workforce transformation sector who are investing heavily in its data platform and cloud technology capabilities.

    As part of this continued investment, the business is looking to appoint a Senior Data Engineer to join its expanding Data team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Data Engineer to combine hands-on technical delivery with team leadership responsibilities, helping to shape the future of a modern Azure-based data platform.

    Working closely with stakeholders across technology and the wider business, you will be responsible for developing and enhancing data pipelines, data warehouse solutions and reporting environments while best practices are maintained. You will also play a key role in mentoring engineers, managing deployments and driving continuous improvement across the data estate.

    This role would suit a Senior Data Engineer with strong Azure, Fabric and SQL expertise who enjoys leading technical initiatives, improving data platforms and supporting the development of high-performing engineering teams.

    Key Responsibilities
    * Lead and mentor a small team of Data Engineers, promoting best practice and engineering excellence
    * Design, build and support Azure Data Pipelines and Data Flows
    * Develop and expand enterprise data warehouse solutions, integrating new data sources and datasets
    * Create, maintain and optimise complex SQL stored procedures, views and functions
    * Improve the performance and structure of data warehouse and reporting environments
    * Produce and maintain technical documentation and development standards

    Skills & Experience
    * Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric and Azure Synapse Analytics
    * Advanced SQL Server development experience
    * Expert knowledge of T-SQL including stored procedures, views and functions
    * Experience designing, building and supporting enterprise data warehouse solutions
    * Experience developing and supporting Azure-based data integration solutions
    * Previous team leadership or people management experience

    We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented D365FO Finance Consultant to join a growing, transformation-focused organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to test their expertise within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, supporting finance users and driving continuous system improvement.



    Key Responsibilities

    * Lead the design, configuration and delivery of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations solutions, ensuring they align with business requirements and best practice.
    * Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, conduct fit-gap analysis and translate functional needs into scalable ERP solutions.
    * Configure and optimise core D365 Finance modules, including General Ledger, Financial Dimensions, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Posting Profiles, Period Close, Financial Reporting and associated integration's.
    * Plan and support testing activities, including System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect resolution and post-go-live support.
    * Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver ERP implementation projects, ensuring documentation, governance and project milestones are maintained throughout the delivery life-cycle.



    Skills and Experience

    * Strong background delivering D365 Finance & Operations implementations, with experience configuring finance functionality, supporting solution design, and ensuring ERP systems meet both operational and strategic business objectives.
    * In-depth knowledge of core financial processes within D365FO, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, financial dimensions, month-end close, posting structures and financial reporting, with the ability to configure and optimise these areas.
    * Experienced in collaborating with finance and business stakeholders to understand requirements, facilitate workshops, perform solution analysis and recommend best-practice approaches that maximise standard D365 functionality.
    * Proven track record supporting end-to-end project delivery, including solution validation, system and user acceptance testing, issue resolution, implementation planning and post-go-live stabilisation within structured project environments.
    * Experience working on international ERP programmes, supporting multi-country finance processes, local regulatory requirements, tax and compliance considerations, while producing high-quality documentation and working effectively within Agile project teams.
