Business Central Developer (Mid-Senior)

Engagement type: Contract, fully remote (occasional travel)
Workload: Initially high, then tapering; could sustain 30-40 hrs/week if combined with Power BI work

About the role
You'll support a Business Central environment (v28.1) running D365 Sales and Purchasing modules, with a focus on upgrades, customizations, and reporting. The internal team is small and often pulled into firefighting, so you'll bring the bandwidth and expertise to move structured project work forward - including supporting accounting requests and strengthening the organization's Power BI reporting. You'll work directly alongside the internal team rather than through an external partner.

Key responsibilities

* Manage upgrades and ensure extension compatibility
* Build and maintain customizations and enhancements
* Support accounting-driven requests and requirements
* Develop and support Power BI / data / reporting integrations, including custom BC queries and fields
* Maintain and extend custom extensions and schema customizations

Required skills

* Senior-level Business Central development and configuration experience
* Demonstrated experience with BC upgrades and extension compatibility
* Ability to build customizations and supporting reporting structures
* Comfort working within a customized BC environment with multiple add-ons

Strongly preferred

* Power BI experience

Nice to have

* AI/workflow automation experience
* GovCon experience
