Data Architect (Azure / Fabric / Power BI)

Working with a household name in the retail space, they are seeking a Data Architect who can lead the shaping, and delivery, of the next generation of the organizations enterprise data platform. This is a hands-on role focused on designing, building, and optimizing scalable cloud data solutions that support analytics, reporting, and decision-making across the business.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate:

Strong proficiency in Azure services (specifically Data) - including, but not limited to, areas such as:

* Microsoft Fabric
* Azure Data Factory
* Azure SQL Database
* SQL Managed Instance

*

Advanced SQL development and optimization skills
*

Expertise in designing data models (fact/dimension tables, star and snowflake schemas) to support data warehousing and analytics
*

Ability to build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines, applying best practices for orchestration, monitoring, performance tuning, and error handling
*

Familiarity with medallion-style architectures (bronze, silver, gold layers) to ensure scalability and data quality
*

Experience integrating data platforms with reporting solutions such as Power BI
*

Confidence in communicating with senior stakeholders, including executives, and presenting architectural recommendations

Prior experience with the following would be beneficial:

*

Manufacturing, supply chain, or industrial data environments
*

Azure Data Lake and Lakehouse architectures
*

Data governance frameworks and DevOps practices in data environments
*

API-based integrations



This role is located in the North Dallas/Richardson/Frisco area and requires 5 days per week working on site. This is a permanent role with a salary in the region of $145,000 to $160,000. Plus benefits.
