Contract Data Scientist - London - £400/day Outside IR35 - Hybrid (2 days onsite) - 6 Months

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop AI-powered tools and data-driven models to solve complex business challenges.
* Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure solutions deliver measurable value.
* Contribute to initiatives such as a digital high net worth insurance product and portfolio analytics platforms.
* Participate across the full software development lifecycle, from design to deployment.
* Create and maintain technical documentation aligned with internal delivery frameworks.
* Uphold best practices in coding, testing, and solution design.
* Assist QA teams during testing phases and resolve bugs efficiently.
* Support deployment activities across multiple environments.
* Monitor and troubleshoot operational issues, providing timely resolutions.
* Pursue ongoing development through certifications and training.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

* Prior experience in the insurance domain is highly desirable.
* Strong proficiency in Python for traditional data science applications.
* Hands-on experience with generative AI tools, particularly Google Gemini.
* Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or Google Cloud.
* Comfortable interpreting and working with technical design documentation.
* Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical teams.
* Agile project delivery experience.
* Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
* Able to navigate ambiguity and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
* Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
