Data Quality Engineer - Azure - Databricks - London, Hybrid

I'm currently working with a global organisation that are going through an awesome period of transformation.

For this role, they're looking for someone to come in and own the testing / quality function and act as the bridge between development and testing. They don't want the functions to feel as 2 separate entities which is often the case. Rather, they want the development team to be a complete team who work collaboratively to ensure that all development and data capabilities are to the highest standard. You will be using the cutting edge technologies within Azure & the data world such as the MS Azure stack & Databricks.

This is a salaried position which is paying up to £75,000 as a base salary. My client have adopted a hybrid working policy which helps them to ensure that the team are always working collaboratively. Equally, they have a high trust, high performance working policy which is all about getting the work done but also, provided successful applicants to manage their time to their liking.

Experience sought...

* Experience of Databricks & Azure Data factory
* Experience of development within a live environment is highly beneficial
* Further experience of Pyspark & Python is highly advantageous

I'm looking for a data professional with strong Excel skills to join a family-run business near to Grimsby, as this newly created role of Data Administrator, as they look to become increasingly data-driven. You will ideally be office-based, but more hybrid working arrangements are open to discussion depending on your personal circumstances.

The focus of your role will be maintaining, analysing, and reporting on data related to their various products, suppliers and customers. With all reporting currently being done in Excel, we are looking for someone who is very competent with a range of Excel formulas and functions.

They are considering starting to utilise Power BI for reporting at some point in the near future, and so ideally you will have real appetite to pick this up, and ultimately pioneer the use of this across the business! You don't need to have used Power BI before, as long as you're someone who is keen to learn new things as sees the benefit in doing so!

This role would be well-suited to a proactive individual who enjoys speaking with various stakeholders, problem-solving, and seeking out opportunities for improvement. Whilst your initial focus will be working on the delivery of regulatory reports, the long-term view for the role is to use your skills to add value to various business-wide projects.
