SQL Database Administrator

I'm looking for an experienced SQL Database Administrator to join a rapidly scaling company based in Warrington - they have a flexible hybrid working model, where you'll be encouraged to work from wherever serves you best on that day, whether that be home or the office.

This is a really unique opportunity to be the sole DBA in an organisation who are experiencing unbelievable growth and success, having recently received significant investment to create a best-in-class SaaS product offering for their customers.

Your role will focus on taking responsibility for their current test and production SQL Servers hosted in Azure, as well as leading on the development of a brand-new data storage strategy for the wider organisation in collaboration with the Head of Platform. We're looking for someone to come in and really own their database estate, and who is hungry for an opportunity to bring new ideas to the table and implement innovative solutions.

This role would be well-suited to an experienced DBA who is ready to take the next step in their career - whilst initially this is a standalone role, you'd have the opportunity to grow and lead a whole team of DBAs in the future as the business scales!

Requirements:

* Strong experience as a SQL DBA with some experience on Azure such as Azure SQL Managed Instances
* Experience working on migration projects to Azure would be highly beneficial
* Experience with all typical DBA tasks including health and performance monitoring, high availability, mirroring, clustering, log shipping, performing upgrades and patching, back-up and recovery etc.
* Strong knowledge of data warehouse design
* Report development skills in SSRS would be highly beneficial
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
