A growing financial services organisation is embarking on a major data transformation and is seeking a Head of Data & Analytics to build and lead a modern data capability from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity to take full ownership of a greenfield data estate, define strategic direction, and shape how data supports investment, reporting, and regulatory needs over the next several years.

    The Opportunity

Following significant organisational growth, the business is now scaling its investment platform and expanding the range of assets it manages. Data is currently sourced directly from multiple operational systems with minimal infrastructure, creating a high‑impact opportunity for a senior data leader to establish a trusted, centralised data environment.

The role will also involve partnering with external suppliers, as much of the technical delivery will be run through strategic partners.

    Key Responsibilities:

    * Own and deliver a multi‑year data strategy for the organisation.
    * Design the target data architecture, ensuring scalability and alignment with investment, risk, operations, and regulatory reporting requirements.
    * Lead the procurement, design, and implementation of a new enterprise data platform.
    * Establish data stores, workflows, integrations, and reporting layers to support portfolio management, performance, risk, and operational insights.
    * Build the foundations of a centralised, trusted data source for the organisation's investment book of record.
    * Develop and grow a data and reporting team as the function matures.
    * Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership and regulatory stakeholders.
    * Manage relationships with external vendors and internal stakeholders across investment, risk, operations, and technology.

    Requirements:

    * Experience delivering enterprise data solutions within complex, regulated environments.
    * Broad technical understanding: data platforms, architecture concepts, data modelling, storage, and reporting.
    * Experience building a team or data function from scratch.
    * Skilled at stakeholder engagement up to executive level.
