    Contract Copilot Consultant - £450/pd Outside IR35

    Role Overview

    We are seeking an experienced Copilot Consultant to support a large‑scale Microsoft Copilot rollout within a complex education sector organisation. This is a hands‑on contract role focused on both the technical enablement of Copilot and the people‑side delivery required to ensure successful adoption at scale.

    You will work closely with technical teams, data specialists, and senior stakeholders to design, implement, and embed Copilot capabilities, while also delivering workshops, training, and guidance to a wide range of user groups.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Lead and support the technical aspects of a Microsoft Copilot rollout, including readiness, configuration, security, compliance, and integration with M365 services.
    * Assess and advise on data readiness, including information architecture, permissions, sensitivity labels, and governance required to maximise Copilot value.
    * Partner with stakeholders across IT, data, and business functions to translate organisational needs into practical Copilot use cases.
    * Design and deliver workshops, training sessions, and enablement materials for technical and non‑technical audiences.
    * Act as a trusted advisor on adoption, change, and best practice, tailored to an education sector environment.
    * Support continuous improvement through feedback, refinement of use cases, and optimisation of Copilot deployment.

    Skills & Experience Required

    * Proven experience delivering Microsoft Copilot rollouts at scale, with strong hands‑on technical capability.
    * Solid background in data, information management, and governance, particularly within Microsoft 365.
    * Strong understanding of security, compliance, and identity considerations in Copilot deployments.
    * Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to confidently run workshops and training sessions.
    * Experience working in or with large, complex organisations (education sector experience is a plus).
    * Comfortable operating in a contract environment and owning delivery outcomes.

    Desirable

    We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer / Data Analyst contractor to provide hybrid support across data engineering and analysis during a team refresh. This engagement is initially for 3 months, with a strong focus on maintaining business‑as‑usual reporting and delivering a key migration from Excel to SQL / Power BI.

    This role requires a self‑sufficient, trusted contractor who can quickly understand an existing data estate, work confidently with limited documentation, and make sound recommendations when improving or stabilising solutions.

    Key responsibilities include:

    * Maintain and support existing data pipelines to ensure BAU continuity
    * Convert a critical Excel‑based report/dashboard into a robust SQL and Power BI solution
    * Deliver ad‑hoc, priority reporting requests as needed
    * Work independently to analyse data structures and logic where documentation is limited
    * Provide a clear handover to the incoming Data & Insights Manager at the end of the contract

    Required experience:

    * Proven experience across data engineering and analytical reporting in live environments
    * Strong capability working autonomously with minimal oversight or documentation
    * Confidence in making recommendations and proposing practical improvements
    * Experience supporting BAU reporting alongside project work
    * Strong communication skills, particularly around handover and knowledge transfer

    About the Role

    I am seeking an experienced Senior BI Developer to support the design, development and optimisation of modern cloud-based data platform within a global manufacturing organisation specialising in the production of high-quality equipment.

    Sitting within a global data and analytics function, this role is central to managing the data platform and delivering high-quality reporting capabilities that support operational, financial and strategic decision-making across multiple international regions.

    This role is ideal for someone with strong hands-on experience across modern data engineering practices cloud data platforms especially Microsoft Fabric. Alongside the core data engineering work, you will also contribute to the development of Power BI reporting and semantic models used across global business teams.

    You will also play a senior role within the BI and data team, helping guide development standards, mentoring developers and ensuring that data solutions are scalable, reliable and aligned with enterprise data governance practices.

    Responsibilities

    * Design, build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines within Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse environments
    * Develop and optimise data ingestion/transformation workflows
    * Develop Python and PySpark processes for data transformation and large-scale processing
    * Support the development and optimisation of Power BI datasets, reports and dashboards
