BI Developer - £60,000 + Benefits

Location: Reading (Hybrid, in office once per week)

We are supporting a large, well‑established UK organisation in hiring an experienced BI Developer to join their collaborative and long‑standing data team. This is a traditional on‑prem BI Developer / SQL Data Engineer role, focused on database development, ETL, data modelling, and data warehouse work.

If you enjoy hands‑on SQL development, building robust ETL solutions, and working in a supportive environment where the team shares knowledge but operates autonomously - this opportunity will suit you well.

You'll join a stable team, covering BI development, reporting, SQL administration, and data management. The environment is friendly, down‑to‑earth, and collaborative -everyone helps each other when needed but also takes real ownership of their own work.



The Role

As a BI Developer, you will work across the full data lifecycle, including:

* Developing and optimising SQL databases
* Creating and maintaining SSIS packages
* Designing and delivering ETL processes
* Performing data modelling and dimensional modelling
* Supporting and enhancing the on‑prem data warehouse
* Handling ad‑hoc support, troubleshooting, and performance tuning



Required Experience

* Expert SQL / T‑SQL
* Strong SSIS experience
* Data modelling
* Dimensional modelling
* Hands‑on data warehouse development
