D365 BC Developer

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Dynamics 365 Business Central (D365 BC) Developer to join our growing IT/ERP team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in developing, customizing, and supporting solutions within the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central environment, using AL and extensions. This role involves working closely with business analysts, functional consultants, and end-users to deliver high-quality ERP solutions that drive business efficiency and growth.

Role & Responsibilities

Develop and customize solutions in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central using AL and Extensions.
*

Collaborate with functional consultants and end-users to gather requirements and translate them into technical designs.
*

Maintain and enhance existing customizations, integrations, and reports in BC.
*

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within the BC environment.
*

Develop APIs and interfaces for integrating BC with other internal and external systems.
*

Ensure best practices for performance, scalability, and maintainability in all developments.
*

Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including design, testing, deployment, and support.
*

Prepare and maintain technical documentation and user guides.
*

Stay updated on new BC features and updates released by Microsoft.

Skills & Qualifications

*

Proven experience as a developer in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central with at least 2 years of experince.
*

Proficient in AL language and working with Visual Studio Code.
*

Experience in Extension-based development (V2 model).
*

Strong knowledge of C/AL (legacy NAV development) is a plus.
*

Familiarity with integration techniques (APIs, Web Services, OData, REST).
*

Understanding of Dynamics 365 BC architecture and modules (Finance, Sales, Purchasing, Inventory, etc.).
*

Experience working with SQL Server and Microsoft Azure platforms.
*

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
*

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifactions

*

Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant Associate (or relevant).
*

Experience with Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate).
*

Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
*

Experience in an Agile development environment.
*

Previous experience in [your industry, e.g., manufacturing, retail, logistics] is a plus.
