Lead Product Manager (AI & Data Platforms)

Location: Oslo, Hybrid (Norway-based)

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

The Opportunity

A fast-growing, international technology company in the AI and data space is seeking a Lead Product Manager to own and scale its core data and intelligence platform. This platform underpins multiple AI-native products used across a global digital ecosystem.

This role sits at the intersection of product strategy, data platforms, artificial intelligence, and people leadership. You will take full ownership of a foundational product area while helping shape broader product excellence as the organisation grows.

Key Responsibilities

Own and Scale the Core Platform

* Lead the vision, strategy, roadmap, and execution for a central metadata and intelligence platform
* Define product direction, customer profiles, and prioritisation frameworks
* Translate market insights into focused product investments
* Establish and monitor outcome-driven success metrics (quality, reliability, adoption, cost, performance)

Product Leadership & Mentorship

* Manage and mentor senior and associate Product Managers
* Coach Product Designers and promote strong UX standards
* Raise the bar for discovery, delivery, and storytelling across teams
* Provide structure and clarity in complex, ambiguous environments

AI-Focused Product Development

* Partner closely with engineering and AI teams
* Balance trade-offs between performance, cost, latency, and trust
* Design human-in-the-loop workflows and feedback systems
* Promote responsible and reliable AI product design

Cross-Product Collaboration

* Support and contribute to multiple product initiatives
* Help establish shared quality standards and best practices
* Take ownership of additional products as the organisation scales

About You

Experience & Seniority

* 10+ years' experience in Product Management
* Background in data-heavy, platform, or AI-enabled products
* Proven experience leading and mentoring PMs and working with design teams

Product Craft

* Strong end-to-end ownership experience
* Comfortable with hands-on product work (PRDs, discovery, UX, delivery)
* Focused on building strong technical and data foundations

AI & Technical Understanding

* Solid understanding of modern AI systems and limitations
* Experience with LLMs, automation, evaluation, and cost optimisation
* Able to translate technical complexity into clear business decisions

Leadership Style

* Passionate about developing people
* Confident providing constructive, high-quality feedback
* Able to guide teams through uncertainty without micromanagement
