Junior D365 Business Central Developer
Location: Minneapolis, MN
Employment Type: Full-Time

Overview
We're looking for a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer with hands-on experience in on-premise environments and a strong understanding of ERP system architecture. This role involves working across small, collaborative teams to support clients in the manufacturing, distribution, and defense/firearms industries.

The ideal candidate is technically sharp, proactive, and eager to grow in an environment embracing DevOps practices and AI-assisted development tools.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and maintain solutions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC)
* Configure, manage, and troubleshoot on-premise environments (firewalls, service permissions, integrations)
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve ERP efficiency and system stability
* Participate in DevOps processes, including version control, deployments, and CI/CD pipelines
* Support ERP integrations within manufacturing and distribution settings
* Leverage SQL or other database tools for data analysis and structure optimization
* Assist in modernization initiatives involving Docker or AI-assisted coding tools

Required Technical Skills

* 1-2+ years of hands-on Business Central development experience
* Strong on-premise experience (configurations, permissions, troubleshooting)
* Familiarity with DevOps practices (version control, deployment pipelines, CI/CD)
* Exposure to Docker and/or AI coding tools (plus)
* Understanding of ERP architecture and integration, especially for manufacturing/distribution
* Working knowledge of SQL or database concepts

Industry & Functional Knowledge

* Background or familiarity with manufacturing and distribution workflows
* Understanding or cultural familiarity with military or defense-related environments
* Comfortable working within regulated or defense-adjacent spaces (firearms/explosives)

Soft Skills

* Proactive and self-motivated with strong initiative and accountability
* Excellent organization and attention to detail
* Collaborative, team-oriented communicator
* Adaptable and eager to learn as the company advances in DevOps and AI modernization

Nice-to-Haves

* Prior military IT or development experience
* Exposure to AI/ML or database-driven product development (e.g., firearm identification systems)
