Experienced Fullstack Developer - Maritime Simulation Technology

A leading technology organisation within the maritime domain is expanding its engineering teams in Horten and Trondheim. They develop advanced simulator platforms used worldwide for training, decision‑making and mission planning across the maritime sector. Their systems recreate realistic vessel behaviour, environments and operations supporting safer, more efficient activity at sea.

They're now looking for Experienced Fullstack Developers to help build the next generation of cloud‑enabled, high‑performance simulation tools.

The Role

In this position, you'll work across a modern full‑stack environment, contributing to:

* Backend services powering advanced simulation workflows
* Modern, intuitive user interfaces for training and operational tools
* Real‑time capabilities, data pipelines and system integrations
* High‑quality, maintainable applications used by professional operators and training centres
* Cross‑functional collaboration with product, UX, domain experts and engineering teams

Your work directly impacts global maritime safety, training quality and operational efficiency.

Technical Requirements

You should have solid experience with:

* Backend: C# / .NET 6+, ASP.NET Core, Web API, microservices/distributed systems, REST/gRPC integrations, event‑driven patterns (Service Bus/Kafka/RabbitMQ), relational databases (SQL Server/PostgreSQL), performance & scalability best practices
* Frontend: React (hooks, functional components), TypeScript, modern JavaScript, component‑based architectures, UI toolkits, responsive design & accessibility
* Cloud & DevOps: Azure (App Services, Functions, Storage, Azure AD), CI/CD pipelines, containerisation (Docker), monitoring & logging tools
* Nice-to-haves: Experience with real‑time/simulation systems, 3D/visualisation (WebGL/Unity/Unreal), or interest in maritime/industrial technologies

What They're Looking For

* 5+ years of fullstack experience (or strong capability with fewer years)
* Confidence working across both backend and frontend
* Ability to deliver clean, scalable, maintainable code
* Strong communication skills in English
* Curiosity for complex systems, simulation, real‑time technology or maritime operations
* Someone who thrives in a collaborative engineering environment
