Ihre Aufgaben

* Konzeption, Aufbau und Weiterentwicklung moderner Datenplattformen (z. B. Lakehouse- oder Data Hub-Architekturen) - von der strategischen Zieldefinition bis zur technischen Umsetzung

* Übersetzung fachlicher Anforderungen in skalierbare Datenmodelle, Datenprodukte und leistungsfähige Plattformlösungen

* Weiterentwicklung von Teammitgliedern durch fachliches Coaching, Code Reviews und Wissensvermittlung
* Unterstützung in Pre-Sales-Aktivitäten, z. B. bei der Erstellung von Lösungskonzepten, Präsentationen und der Teilnahme an Kundenterminen



Ihr Profil

* Mehrjährige Erfahrung im Aufbau und in der Weiterentwicklung moderner Datenarchitekturen, idealerweise in Cloud-Umgebungen (z. B. Azure, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric oder vergleichbar)
* Fundierte Kenntnisse in Datenmodellierung, ETL/ELT-Prozessen, Orchestrierung sowie Performance- und Kostenoptimierung
* Erste Erfahrung in der fachlichen Führung von Projekten oder kleinen Teams sowie Freude daran, Wissen zu teilen
* Ausgeprägte Kommunikationsstärke und die Fähigkeit, komplexe technische Themen verständlich zu vermitteln
* Erfahrung im direkten Kundenkontakt sowie ein gutes Verständnis für geschäftliche Anforderungen

Currently recruiting for a Senior Data Engineering Manager role with a client in London to oversee multiple functions within Data. Primarily Data Engineering focused, managing a team of talented Databricks Engineers.

You will work with the Head of Data on the current environment but also help shape the future of the team in the new world of AI. You will come from a strong Data Engineering background in Databricks, coupled with managing teams.

My client are well recognised as being leaders within their relative field. With operations spanning across a range of continents, they have a footprint in nearly every major city globally. They were first established over half a century ago but they are part of a much bigger group which has been around for even longer, providing stability and financial backing which allows the business to continue to use cutting edge technologies.

Whilst this role requires someone who comes from a Data Engineering background, this is a hands off role where you will be a people manager. You will be managing the core Data team but also looking after 2 other streams of work within PowerApps and Sharepoint. You will be required to provide mentorship as well as helping to drive the data strategy within the organisation.

This role is paying up to £120k as a base salary. You will get up to 10% bonus (Discretionary) as well as a range of other great benefits.
