About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Dynamics GP Consultant with deep hands-on experience in manufacturing environments. This role is ideal for someone who thrives working both in the system and directly in SQL to solve complex manufacturing and data issues. You will play a critical part in stabilizing and optimizing our GP environment while ensuring accurate reporting and reconciliation.



Key Responsibilities

* Troubleshoot stuck inventory allocations and document posting issues.
* Investigate posted AR invoices missing header or detail data.
* Analyze and report on manufacturing order (MO) cost summaries, including labor, material, outsource, and sequence-level details.
* Reconcile manufacturing costs and Work In Progress (WIP) to the General Ledger.
* Build and modify SSRS reports with drilldowns, filters, and actionable insights.
* Convert SmartLists to SQL views for improved performance and compliance with licensing requirements.
* Manage GP security roles and SQL access.
* Perform general GP environment cleanup, stabilization, and performance optimization.



Required Skills & Experience

* Strong Dynamics GP Manufacturing knowledge: BOMs, routings, production orders, MRP.
* Proficient in SQL, including querying, troubleshooting, and modifying GP tables.
* Proven experience resolving data integrity and reconciliation issues.
* Capable of owning reporting processes from query design to deployment.
* Hands-on approach with both functional and technical responsibilities.
* Experience with SSRS reporting and performance optimization in GP.



Nice-to-Have

* Prior experience in on-prem GP environments.
* Familiarity with SmartList to SQL conversions for performance and licensing.

Position Overview

I am supporting my client in a search for a D365 Business Central Consultant w/ Power BI and Project Management experience, supporting their organization with ongoing ERP enhancements, reporting automation, and process improvements.
