Position Overview

I am supporting my client in a search for a D365 Business Central Consultant w/ Power BI and Project Management experience, supporting their organization with ongoing ERP enhancements, reporting automation, and process improvements.

You will take ownership of a D365 Business Central work, manage support with their implementation partner, build new reporting and analytics in Power BI, and drive process optimization across several departments including Accounting, Maintenance, Safety, and Operations.

While hybrid scheduling is acceptable, you must be able to travel to the office regularly (minimum weekly), as the CFO relies on in‑person collaboration for rapid decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Business Central (BC) Leadership

* Serve as the internal subject matter expert for Business Central (Cloud).
* Partner with internal team and partner to manage a backlog of support tickets, enhancements, and customizations.
* Own and prioritize a multi‑year roadmap of BC improvements, integrations, and future app development.
* Troubleshoot issues, recommend solutions, and execute configuration changes.
* Support data structure clean-up initiatives (e.g., asset numbering, entity consolidation).

Project & Stakeholder Management

* Work directly with leadership on daily tasking and priority alignment.
* Act as the liaison between internal teams and third‑party developers.
* Manage requirements gathering, documentation, timelines, and deliverables.
* Support cross‑departmental process optimization and standardization.

Power BI Development

* Build dashboards and analytics tied to Business Central datasets.
* Work across Accounting, Safety, Maintenance, and field operations to deliver visuals tailored for non‑technical, field‑based users.
* Create reporting that supports executive visibility, KPI tracking, and operational decision‑making.

Operational Support

* Assist a high‑volume accounting environment with data accuracy, reporting, and process flow improvements.
* Provide hands‑on troubleshooting and fast-turnaround support for urgent issues.
* Support future initiatives to productize internal solutions and potentially release BC apps to the Microsoft App Store.

Required Skills & Experience

* Strong experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central (functional or techno-functional).
* Power BI development expertise, including data modeling and DAX.
* Project management experience (formal or informal) managing technical backlogs or ERP roadmaps.
* Understanding of accounting and operational processes (AR/AP, asset management, work orders, etc.).
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
* Excellent communication skills; ability to work closely with executive leadership.
* Must be able to work onsite in South Fort Worth on a regular basis.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience in field operations, or asset-heavy industries.
* Exposure to Azure, Power Automate, or BC custom extensions.
* Background working with third-party implementation partners.
* Ability to work independently with minimal structure and high ownership.
* Cultural fit with a fast-moving, direct, no‑nonsense environment.
