Our client is searching for a seasoned Business Central & Power Platform Architect with extensive experience in financial services and a proven track record designing enterprise-scale, integrated financial solutions. The ideal candidate combines strategic architectural thinking with deep hands-on expertise across Dynamics 365 Business Central, Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and Azure integration patterns.

A critical part of this role involves leading migrations from Dynamics GP to Business Central, re-architecting legacy processes, and establishing a modern application ecosystem that supports advanced billing, invoicing, and financial operations. The Architect will shape the long-term platform strategy, solution patterns, and technical governance for financial and operational systems.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Architecture & Solution Design

* Define the end-to-end architecture for Business Central, Power Platform, and integrated financial workflows.
* Lead the design of scalable invoicing, billing, and financial applications built on Power Apps (Canvas & Model-Driven) and Dataverse.
* Establish integration patterns leveraging APIs, OData, Azure Functions, Service Bus, and custom connectors.
* Create technical standards, governance frameworks, best practices, and reusable solution components.

Dynamics GP → Business Central Modernization

* Architect and oversee enterprise-level migrations from Dynamics GP to Business Central, including:

* Legacy footprint analysis and future-state architecture
* Data migration strategy, tooling, and quality frameworks
* Replacement of GP-era customizations with Business Central extensions and Power Platform automation
* Redesigning financial and operational processes to maximize BC capabilities

* Serve as the technical authority during transition, guiding functional teams, developers, and business stakeholders.

Business Central Expertise

* Architect and oversee development of AL extensions, financial module configurations, BI/reporting patterns, and automated workflows.
* Ensure scalability, security, and performance across all Business Central environments.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives and platform optimization.

Custom Application Architecture

* Architect enterprise-grade Power Apps solutions supporting financial processes, including:

* Complex billing and invoicing workflows
* Multi-entity financial operations
* Customer and partner-facing operational apps

* Ensure that all custom applications seamlessly integrate with Business Central for financial posting and reporting.

Financial Services Alignment

* Translate regulatory, compliance, and audit requirements into technical solution patterns.
* Architect systems ensuring transactional traceability, financial integrity, and risk mitigation.
* Partner with Finance leadership to design future‑state financial workflows and automation.

Leadership & Collaboration

* Lead cross-functional solution design workshops and technical strategy sessions.
* Mentor development teams and guide technical delivery.
* Provide architectural oversight during projects, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards.
* Communicate complex technical concepts to business users in an accessible, actionable manner.

In this role, you will perform the following tasks with supervision:
* Build demos and visually appealing demo assets that help tell the customers'stories.
* Write clear, consistent demo scripts and other documentation for customer consumption.
* Dive in and quickly get up to speed on new technologies to become known as a trusted thought leader in
the eyes of the customer.
* Interact with customers, project managers, quality assurance resources, and other team members as
necessary to ensure projectsuccess.
* Successfully troubleshoot problems independently, while working with a team in a deadline-driven
environment.
* Contribute to multiple projects from beginning to end with primary success being measured by customer
satisfaction.
Within the first three months, we expect you to become confident producings typical deliverables and be
a contributing member on projects.

Your Qualifications
* Strong desire to contribute, both independently and as part of a team.
* Ability to learn quickly and follow direction with strong attention to detail.
* Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Windows feature sets.
* Experience with Microsoft Copilot or other AI skills preferred.
* Technical writing, requirements-gathering, and interpersonal skills preferred.
* Prior experience or background in marketing and/or building creative content for demos and
presentations preferred

Dynamics 365 Business Central Migration Consultant

Overview

Seeking an experienced consultant to lead the migration of a financial services organization from Microsoft Dynamics GP to Dynamics 365 Business Central. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of Microsoft ERP platforms, strong financial process expertise, and proven experience delivering end‑to‑end GP-to-BC migration projects.

Key Responsibilities

* Assess the current Dynamics GP environment, including chart of accounts, financial modules, integrations, reporting, and customizations.
* Develop a comprehensive migration strategy and roadmap for Business Central deployment.
* Perform data migration activities, including data cleansing, transformation, and validation.
* Configure and customize Business Central to align with financial services operational and regulatory requirements.
* Rebuild or redesign integrations using Power Platform, Dataverse, or Azure integration services as appropriate.
* Develop functional documentation, test scripts, and training materials.
* Lead user acceptance testing and support go‑live readiness.
* Provide post‑migration support and optimization guidance.

Required Experience

* Strong background with Dynamics GP and Dynamics 365 Business Central (D365 BC).
* Proven experience completing at least one GP-to-BC migration.
* Solid understanding of general ledger, AP, AR, cash management, banking, and financial reporting.
* Experience with Power Platform (Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse) for workflow automation and reporting.
* Familiarity with data migration tools (e.g., configuration packages, APIs, third‑party tools).
* Experience in financial services or regulated industries preferred.

Preferred Skills

* Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, Azure services, or extending Business Central via AL.
* Experience with Copilot or modern AI‑enhanced workflow automation.
* Strong communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
