    Analytics Engineer

    I am working with a hugely successful organisation based in Leeds who are looking for an Analytics Engineer to join their newly formed data practice. In this role you will play a pivotal part in the design of data models that will enable insights to be delivered to departments across the business.

    You will join a growing team where you will have the opportunity to take ownership of projects and shape the way the business uses its data. You will also have the opportunity to work with a range of cloud-based technologies such as the Azure tech stack, Snowflake, dbt and Power BI.

    As part of this role you will be responsible for -

    * Design and maintain data models in Snowflake, always following best practices
    * Work with BI developers to deliver insightful Power BI dashboards to enable stakeholders to make data-driven decisions
    * Work with Data Engineers to optimise data pipelines
    * Contribute towards data governance and data quality initiatives

    To be successful in this role you will have.

    * Strong data modelling and transformation experience
    * Strong SQL experience
    * Experience with Snowflake or Azure data platforms
    * Hands on experience with dbt

    This is a hybrid role based in the companies Leeds office. The client are offering a starting salary of up to £65,000 depending on experience as well as a full company benefits package.

They are a specialist within their domain, that are at the forefront of engineering practices.     Your role will include:

    1. Governance Strategy
    Develop and execute a data governance and quality framework aligned with business goals and global standards.

    2. Data Architecture & Pipelines
    Partner with data engineering teams to build structured, reliable, and trusted datasets.

    Embed governance and quality controls into pipelines and manage seamless data migrations.

    3. Master Data Management (MDM)
    Implement MDM processes to standardize core domains (customer, vendor, product, location).

    4. Data Profiling & Quality
    Lead data profiling efforts and design quality rules to improve data health and trustworthiness.

    5. Collaboration with Engineers
    Work closely with engineering teams to integrate validation and quality checks into data pipelines.

    6. Data Protection & Access Governance
    Implement classification models and role-based access to secure sensitive and critical data.

    7. Data Lineage Documentation
    Maintain end-to-end data lineage for transparency across data sources, transformations, and usage.

    8. Critical Data Element (CDE) Management
    Identify, prioritize, and govern Critical Data Elements essential for operations and reporting.

    9. Data Migration Support
    Oversee governance during migrations to protect data quality, integrity, and security.

    10. Governance Tools Enablement
    Deploy and manage governance platforms (e.g., Microsoft Purview, OneLake) and ensure integration with the data ecosystem.

    I'm looking for a Data Engineer with Snowflake experience to join a global business who are embarking on a greenfield project to build a brand-new Snowflake Data Warehouse. They are building a modern, AI-ready data platform, which allows for better decision-making for both themselves and their customers, with a tech stack including Snowflake, dbt, Microsoft Azure and Power BI.

    You'll join their newly established Data Team, based in their modern office space in Leeds - you'll spend at least 3 days per week in the office to collaborate with your team, in what's a very fast-paced, forward-thinking and entrepreneurial environment.

    The purpose of this role is to build and maintain the data architecture that supports various business intelligence initiatives. This will include designing and managing Snowflake data pipelines, ensuring data flows seamlessly from multiple sources into the data platform.     Requirements:
