    Job Description

    A Multinational Bank is looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join an already established team. The client is looking for a hands-on candidate who is ready to come get the ball rolling. Previous experience in Network Design is essential.

    Role & Responsibilities

    * To work for the Solutions Design and Delivery team to ensure efficient delivery of the projects in a variety of Network technologies including LAN, WAN, SDN, Wireless, Load Balancing and Security.
    * Work with Key stakeholders and Project Managers to create Low level designs which adhere to defined architectural standards.
    * Responsible for ensuring that any designs are implemented in line with current architecture and documentation is fit for purpose.
    * Provide accurate estimation of workload and timelines for delivery.
    * Timely update and whenever necessary timely escalation of issues to right stakeholders.
    * Be responsible for end to end delivery of the Project tasks.
    * Work with global support teams to transition knowledge of individual deliveries.
    * Contribute to the management of risk to ensure;

    * Compliance to regulatory and mandatory policies
    * Audit findings and Issue Assurances are fully addressed
    * Adherence to all change management processes
    * Full documentation for all deployments
    * Knowledge Transfer to Support teams
    * Prioritization of work streams with business and IT partners

    * Solution engineers is responsible for design, build and deployment activities to deliver appropriate infrastructure solutions to meet customer requirements at an enterprise level and within budget
    * Contribute to the definition of network infrastructure strategy and policy by taking an active role in working with Product Managers and Product Engineers to influence architectural strategy



    Skills

    * Maintain tickets about monitoring data, documentation of actions taken and testing results
    * Design and maintain documentation, knowledge, and skills around proactive and adaptive approaches to information security threats
    * Perform risk assessments; develop response plans and mitigation plans in the event of a security breach
    * Provide security review and subject matter expertise to ensure information security architecture and design considerations in major IT projects and programs
    * Participate in the evaluation of major hardware, middleware, application, and service selections
    * Document and report on security incidents and responses to management
    * Design and Conduct Disaster Recovery planning and testing
    * Design and implement procedures for monitoring, configuration management and reporting functions
    * Perform duties and back fill for the Security Operations I position as needed
    * Any other responsibilities identified by management

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    * Advanced understanding of Cyber Security and a desire to continue expanding your knowledge and skills
    * Strong understanding of networking, server operation systems, and storage environments
    * Strong understanding of regular expressions and database queries for searching security logs
    * Understanding of project management types such as Agile
    * Ability to serve as an Incident commander in the event of a security breach
    * Work closely as a team member and independently as needed with limited guidance and support
    * Strong communication skills, writing reports and documentation
    * High level technical end user support and training

    The Role

    This role will be very hands on and is suited to candidates with experience using Microsoft and Azure technologies.

    The role is suitable for a talented Cyber Security Engineer with a solid background in the fields of cyber security and IT operations as you will be providing the business primarily with stability and efficient operation of all security systems that support core IT globally by designing, deploying, monitoring, maintaining, supporting and optimising.

    Requirements

    * Extensive experience working in a similar Cyber Security role
    * 8+ years as a systems administrator or cyber security systems engineer
    * 5+ years of experience architecting, designing, developing, supporting and implementing security solutions
    * In depth knowledge of cloud Infrastructure and Security - (Azure Services preferred - network, server, desktop and their security components e.g. Azure Security centre, Azure WAF, Azure DDoS, Windows Server, Windows 10, Office 365, firewalls, IPS, web filter, Endpoint Protection, SIEM)
    * Cryptography and networking
    * Ethical Hacking/Penetration/Vulnerability testing

    * Proven knowledge and experience of Industry Standards and best practice e.g., ISO 27000 series, NIST Cyber Security Framework.
    * Be responsible for leading and completing security project and maintenance tasks, updating peers and documentation.
