    I am working with a leading financial services organisation who are looking for a SQL Developer to join their engineering function. In this role you will be responsible for creating complex queries to extract data ready for visualisation in order for the business to meet its reporting goals. You will also be responsible for the performance of the organisation databases and will be involved in review code of your peers to identify where improvements can be made.

    The organisations data platform is hosted in Azure, and you will have the opportunity to work with the Azure tech stack to further supplement your expertise. This is a key position within the engineering team where you will become point of contact with directors around the business and will be tasked with successfully spearheading development in the UK!



    As part of this role, you will be responsible for some of the following areas.

    * Create high quality code and queries using SQL for data extraction
    * Monitor and optimize database performance
    * Conduct reviews of current code in order to identify where improvements can be made
    * Gather data requirements from members of the business intelligence team as well as business stakeholders



    This is a salaried role paying up to £80,000 per year depending on experience. This is largely a remote position but there may be occasional travel required to one of the organisations hubs across the South of England.



    To be successful in this role you will have.

    * Strong SQL/T-SQL proficiency
