D365FO Finance Business Analyst - Wales - £65k

Nigel Frank are working closely with a well-established organisation, assisting their search for a D365FO Finance Business Analyst.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a large-scale digital finance transformation programme. As the Finance Business Analyst, you'll be instrumental in analysing, mapping, and redesigning financial processes for integration into D365FO. You'll work closely with internal stakeholders and external implementation partners to ensure solutions are fit-for-purpose and support an efficient, streamlined go-live.

You'll be part of a transformation programme aimed at building a centre of excellence for financial operations. This role provides a unique opportunity to influence process design, improve systems, and help shape a more efficient and automated finance function.

Role & Responsibilities

* Lead workshops to capture business requirements and map existing ('As Is') and future-state ('To Be') processes.
* Propose and document finance process solutions within D365FO, with a focus on modules such as Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, Project Accounting, Fixed Assets, and more.
* Collaborate with implementation partners to configure and test solutions that align with business objectives.
* Develop user stories, functional specifications, and test cases to support user acceptance testing.

Skills & Qualifications

* Degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent experience.
* Demonstrable experience in D365 F&O implementation, particularly in finance-related modules.
* Strong experience in process mapping and documentation (e.g. using Microsoft Visio).
* Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Proven ability to bridge business and technical requirements in an ERP project environment

I am actively recruiting on behalf of a market leading manufacturer/ retailer as they look to recruit a Dynamics 365 BC Technical Lead into their growing business applications team. The role will involve the successful candidate holding full technical ownership of my clients D365 BC environment - working hands on with a range of exciting process improvement, integration and roll out projects, whilst collaborating with technical/ functional departments to ensure the system is maximised for the years to come.

The position is wholly home based, with the ideal candidate able to travel into central London offices several times per month; project phase dependant.

What the role involves?

* Technical ownership of D365 Business Central environment
* Contributing hands on to programming/ development on new improvement, integration, roll out projects (AL extensions, .NET)
* Mentoring development team and spearheading best practice within the business applications team
* Technical analysis, requirement gathering and design for new system enhancements
* Working collectively with senior stakeholders to ensure system effectiveness, and contributing to project roadmap

Skillset:

* Proven experience as Technical Lead/ Product Owner for D365 Business Central environment
* Technical development expertise in AL extensions and .NET programming
* End to end project lifecycle experience - analysis, process mapping, design, install/ config, testing, training, go-live
* Knowledge in Power Platform configuration (Power Automate, Power Apps)
* API integration project experience
* Understanding of supply chain/ sales/ manufacturing business process
* Excellent communication/ stakeholder & third party engagement skills
