Senior Oracle Fusion HCM Consultant - UK Based - c£100K

We are seeking an experienced Senior Oracle Fusion HCM Consultant to design, lead, and deliver Oracle's Human Capital Management (HCM) Cloud solutions to clients within the UK public sector. You will play a key role in shaping, implementing, and optimising end-to-end HCM solutions that drive real impact for our clients.



This is an excellent role for someone wanting to be at the forefront of Oracle Fusion HCM Cloud implementations: guiding teams, advising clients, and ensuring seamless delivery across all project phases.



Key Responsibilities:

* Lead and execute the implementation of Oracle Fusion HCM Cloud solutions for UK clients.
* Conduct System Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Payroll Parallel Reconciliation (PPR), and post go-live support.
* Oversee integration, data migration, and reporting activities across Payroll, OTL, Absence, and other modules.
* Leverage strong knowledge of HCM technical tools: HCM Data Loader (HDL), HCM Extracts, BI Publisher, Fast Formulas, Payroll Batch Loader, etc.
* Deliver across the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) - from requirements gathering and design workshops to training and hypercare.
* Prepare project status reports (RAG), manage RAID logs, and proactively identify risks and mitigation's.



Required Experience & Skills:

* 10+ years of progressive IT experience, including 8+ years as an Oracle HCM Cloud Consultant.
* Deep functional and technical expertise across Core HR, Talent Management, Recruiting, On boarding, Absence, Time and Labor, Benefits, Payroll, and Payments (UK legislation).
* Strong understanding of Oracle's security framework, including role-based access, job roles, abstract roles, and data roles.
* Proven success leading discovery workshops and solution design sessions.
* Proficiency with Oracle integration and reporting tools: Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), HCM Extracts, BI Publisher, HDL.

Overview

A privately held professional services organization is seeking a senior-level finance professional with strong experience in project-driven industries (construction, engineering, field services, or similar) to join their consulting practice. This role is ideal for someone who has led financial operations in a complex environment and wants to apply that experience toward helping clients improve their processes and modernize their financial systems.

The consultant will work closely with client teams to evaluate current-state operations, optimize financial workflows, and guide organizations through system changes using a leading enterprise finance platform.

Primary Responsibilities

*

Advise clients on best practices for managing project-based financial operations, including job costing, project controls, budgeting, forecasting, and revenue recognition.
*

Review and redesign financial workflows to support improved operational efficiency and stronger data integrity.
*

Partner with technical teams to ensure financial processes are accurately reflected within the client's ERP environment.
*

Assist clients in developing business cases, identifying process gaps, and implementing more effective reporting and control structures.
*

Provide coaching and subject-matter expertise to client stakeholders and internal delivery teams.
*

Translate complex financial issues into clear recommendations and practical solutions.

Required Background

*

Minimum of 10 years in senior finance leadership roles (Controller, Director of Finance, Senior Cost Accountant, VP of Finance, CFO, etc.).
*

Experience supporting or overseeing financial operations in project-centric industries, ideally involving field teams, job costing, equipment/labor management, or multi-phase project accounting.
*

Hands-on familiarity with a major enterprise financial system (experience with the Microsoft finance platform or similar systems is strongly preferred).
*

Solid understanding of cost structures, project accounting, WIP tracking, billing methods, and forecasting within a project-driven environment.
*

Proven ability to contribute to or lead financial system improvements, transformations, or ERP deployments.
*

Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with operational leaders, finance executives, and technical teams.
*

CPA or advanced degree preferred but not required.
