Overview

We're hiring a Data Scientist to support a high-impact NHS programme focused on bowel services. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in Oracle Database, PL/SQL, and NHS data environments, who can deliver actionable insights to improve service performance and patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

* Analyse NHS service data to define and measure performance outcomes.
* Develop and optimise queries using Oracle DB and PL/SQL.
* Apply statistical and analytical techniques to assess service delivery.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs and reporting requirements.
* Build and validate data models and visualisations to support decision-making.
* Present insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Essential Skills

* Proven experience with Oracle Database and PL/SQL.
* Strong background in data science, analytics, or performance analysis.
* Experience working with NHS data or within NHS programmes.
* Proficiency in data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
