We're hiring a Data Scientist with strong technical expertise in Oracle DB, PL/SQL, and C++, ideally with experience working on NHS or healthcare-related projects. This role supports a high-impact programme focused on improving service performance and outcomes in the Bowel domain.

🔍 Key Responsibilities

* Analyse healthcare data to assess and improve service performance outcomes
* Apply advanced analytical techniques to derive actionable insights
* Collaborate with stakeholders to define performance metrics, reporting needs, and tooling strategies
* Support the implementation and validation of tools for data collection, analysis, and visualisation
* Present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
* Provide tactical recommendations to inform operational and strategic decisions

🧠 Skills & Experience

* Strong experience with Oracle Database, PL/SQL, and C++
* Proven background in data science within NHS or healthcare settings
* Proficiency in data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
* Understanding of information governance and data privacy in healthcare
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
