The Opportunity

Our client is a growing, multi‑entity financial services organization with a strategic investment in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central as its core ERP platform. They are seeking a Senior Business Central Developer / ERP Administrator to act as the technical owner of Business Central across multiple legal entities, business units, and integrations.

This role blends hands‑on AL development, system ownership, and technical leadership. You will be responsible for designing and maintaining custom extensions, supporting internal users, guiding solution architecture, and ensuring the platform continues to scale with the business.

This position is ideal for a senior BC developer who wants:

What You'll Do (End‑User Focused)

* Own and enhance Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central across multiple legal entities and environments
* Design, develop, and maintain AL extensions, integrations, and customizations supporting finance and operations
* Serve as the primary technical liaison between IT, Finance, Accounting, and Operations stakeholders
* Support month‑end, year‑end, reporting, and audit‑related ERP needs
* Perform code reviews, enforce development standards, and ensure clean upgrade‑safe solutions
* Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve Business Central issues across core ERP and integrated systems
* Participate in architectural decisions related to integrations, data flow, security, and performance
* Manage and optimize integrations with external systems (banking, reporting, data platforms, etc.)
* Maintain system documentation, technical standards, and operational procedures
* Mentor junior developers or analysts as needed and guide best practices
* Partner with leadership on ERP roadmap planning and future enhancements
* Support Business Central upgrades, new feature adoption, and release planning

Occasional travel may be required (<10%), primarily for internal meetings or key initiatives.

What You'll Need

* 3-5+ years of hands‑on development experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central (AL Extensions)
* Strong understanding of Business Central financials and core ERP architecture
* Experience supporting internal users and business stakeholders (end‑user environment)
* Proficiency with AL, Visual Studio Code, and extension‑based development
* Experience with integrations, data imports/exports, and performance tuning
* Microsoft full‑stack development experience (C#, .NET, Azure) is a strong plus
* Exposure to Power Platform (Power Automate, Power BI, Power Apps) preferred
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate technical solutions into business impact
* Ability to work independently and take ownership of an ERP platform
