Location: Oslo | Hybrid (2 days remote)
Employment: Permanent

We are working with a growing, highly specialised technology company in the business systems space that is now looking for a Technical Application Specialist to strengthen its 3rd line support function.

This is a key role at the intersection of support and development, where you'll work hands-on with complex issues and help ensure the quality, stability, and performance of critical systems.

The Role

As a 3rd Line Application Specialist, you will take ownership of the most demanding technical cases, working closely with developers to analyse, troubleshoot, and resolve root causes.

You'll play an important part in improving products, processes, and support practices, while helping the wider team grow its technical capability.

Key Responsibilities

Handle advanced technical issues escalated from 1st and 2nd line support

Perform in-depth troubleshooting and root cause analysis
*

Create, run, and maintain SQL scripts for analysis and data correction
*

Collaborate with developers on bug fixes and system improvements
*

Identify patterns affecting quality and performance
*

Document solutions and contribute to internal knowledge sharing
*

Provide technical guidance to frontline support teams
*

Use modern tools, including AI, to work more efficiently

About You

You enjoy solving complex technical problems and have a structured, analytical approach. You're comfortable working across support and development teams and take ownership of your work.

You're curious about new technologies, open to improving ways of working, and motivated by delivering long-term, high-quality solutions.

Requirements

Relevant education in IT or equivalent practical experience
*

Experience in technical support, application support, or development roles
*

Strong troubleshooting skills for software systems
*

Solid experience with SQL for analysis and data correction
*

Basic programming skills (preferably C#)
*

Interest or experience in AI, automation, or intelligent tools is an advantage
*

Experience with financial or accounting systems is a plus
*

Fluent in Norwegian and English (written and spoken)
