Front-End Engineering Lead (Remote - UK/EU Time Zones Preferred)
Overview:
We are supporting a company that builds enterprise automation and observatory tools, and is looking to expand its global engineering footprint.
They are seeking a hands-on Front-End Engineering Lead who will also contribute to the product's architecture council, with a strong enterprise background (not just web apps). You'll be working remotely within a globally distributed engineering team.

Role Highlights:

Join a team of 4 engineers spread across Europe

Play a key role in product architecture and provide strong front-end engineering leadership
*
Work on modernising legacy systems - strong migration focus (Java core to modern UI)
*
Be deeply involved in creating and operating agile pods (front-end, AI, back-end, core)
*
Contribute technically and functionally while managing and mentoring a small team
*
Not a lead role in title, but you will have architectural influence and people management responsibilities
Ideal Candidate Profile:
*
Strong expertise in React and front-end architecture
*
Solid background in Java back-end environments, ideally having built front-end on Java core
*
Enterprise software experience is essential (preferably in companies like Red Hat or Splunk)
*
Experience in migrating existing applications to new interfaces
*
Comfortable with both technical leadership and people management
*
Hands-on and proactive communicator, able to coach and guide others
*
Familiarity with agile development, particularly working in pods and sprint-based delivery
*
Bi-annual travel within Europe (all expenses covered)
