About the Role

I am seeking an Analytics Engineer to support the development, optimisation and governance of modern data and analytics solutions within a growing UK analytics consultancy. Sitting within an expanding analytics practice, this role is central to delivering trusted, scalable and high‑quality insight products that enable organisations to make faster, data‑driven decisions.

This role is ideal for someone with strong hands‑on experience with Power BI as well as a strong background in data modelling. You will be comfortable building advanced reports and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to turn complex requirements into effective analytics solutions. You will also play a key role in supporting users, applying best practice and contributing to the consultancy's broader analytics framework.

Responsibilities

* Build, maintain and optimise Power BI semantic models
* Develop high‑quality Power BI reports and dashboards, including advanced DAX measures and calculations
* Apply best practices across data modelling, performance optimisation and governance
* Support analytics users and troubleshoot issues across deployed insight products
* Contribute to ongoing improvements in analytics standards, processes and methodologies

Skills and Experience

* Strong, hands‑on experience with Power BI (data ingestion, modelling, DAX)
* Solid understanding of data modelling, star schema design and semantic layer principles
* Proven ability to create scalable, efficient analytical models and performance reports
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate user requirements into actionable designs
